When there is so much anxiety as an African American going into places where you feel you might not belong, a lot of times I feel very uncomfortable because society has condition myself this away. I recently when into this establishment looking for an indoor palm and although the woman at the front said she didn’t have due to them possibly carrying viruses or something of that nature; I politely asked her if its ok if I look around. (that was a condition questioned I ask). She said yes and I did. I really didn’t need anything but since she treated me so nice and recommended other places that might carry them, I thought I would spend some money in there which I did. Then some folks came from out the back and a little girl asked me was I ready in the most polite was possible and a younger fella rang me up told me I made a good choice in the jerky. They quickly help me relieve my anxiety from the beginning and a person not in my shoes wouldn’t understand how good that made me feel. Read moreThis store has ALOT of plants! And feed for them. There’s an outside area and some plants on the front walkway. They happened to be having a half off sale today in certain plants, very cool!
The reason for my visit was 1) I needed honey so why not buy local (it’s not from a farmer in Haslet. The label says it’s from Alvorado, Texas) 2) I am looking for Cyanora-an inchworm killer. I found my honey, yay! The pricing varies for the honey depending on your size container. It’s right by the checkout counter if you’re looking for some like I was. And they don’t carry inchworm killer anymore. The staff said the demand was too low and it costed too much to carry. That’s okay, I can drive to Russell Feed for that.

We went to the plant side first and not one person welcomed us, then we went in the store and the young man you have working did not greet us, but seemed to find the time to watch videos on his phone behind the cash register. Then as we were leaving after buying a few things my friend said thank you and the young man said nothing. Again she said thank you and his response was,no problem. Really, no problem!! Maybe he should be the one to say thank you, or have a nice day, or come back and see again, but no problem, maybe a good class on customer service would suffice for...
