My husband and I were on our way home from Ocracoke going north when we stopped to check out this little house of wonder. When we walked in, it was like walking into my grandmother's house at Christmas time. The aromas from the different flavors hit our sense of smell and we were taken away. We drifted around then we were enticed by the very friendly staff who let us be like kids trying out the many flavors of fudge. Some were familiar; some were blocks of wonder: like the chocolate sandbar, and the divinity brulee, and the expresso. My husband, being diabetic thought he was at a loss until a sweetheart of a woman said, "Oh no, you're ok here! We have sugarfree fudge too." Wow, he was in for a treat himself. We came home with a pound and a half of sugar-free chocolate pecan for Ron and two small (sorry to say) quarter-pound pieces of expresso and peanut butter. Now I'm online, YAY!!! so I can order some more delectable fudge now and any other time I want to. Thanks be to God and the great little house called The Scotch Bonnet in Frisco, North...
Read moreLove this fudge and gift shop. The owner is very nice and outgoing. Really cool. Fudge is made right in front of you in house.
They have tons of unique things to the area. Their prices are way better than the big chain storeS around. The super wings or whatever it's called and better than the pirate one.
And their prices are waaaay better than the gift shop in Ocracoke Island.
They have shot glasses, shells, sculptures, candy, fudge, and so on. Did find some really cool sculptures made with shells. Such as a poker table. Lots of cool stuff. Take your time look at everything.
Definitely stop in. Try the jalapeno mint fudge. Its called fire and ice. All the other fudge was awesome as well.
One thing to remember on a hot day. Don't let that stop you from buying fudge! It will not melt in your car. It gets soft but does not melt!
Absolutely awesome shop. Absolutely awesome owner. Stop on in....
Read moreI've never been a big fan of fudge. I went here with my wife and her parents because I was obliged to since I was traveling with them. Holy moly! It was amazing, never in my life or since have I had fudge that fantastic. I finally settled on the Chocolate Sandbar fudge as my favorite. The combination of rich chocolate, sweet caramel, and salty coarse sea salt makes this fudge a world class hit. Scotch Bonnet changed my mind about fudge and a trip to the Outer Banks would be woefully incomplete without a stop here, and at least a pound of fudge on the seat next to you as you pull out of the...
