This place is a total vibe! We LOVE it and will return every time we are back on the OBX. They get their baked goods from a local baker. The espresso is delicious. We ordered a double shot over ice, Close Encounter and the I.O. Every drink was so tasty. They do not overdo the sweetness and if you like it sweeter they will gladly add more. They asked everyone who received drinks if they liked them and they would remake it if it wasn't to their liking! This place has only been open a year and it feels like they have been a part of your life forever. They are so kid friendly, they give out fruit snacks to all of the kids! They are so friendly it feels like you are old friends! I highly recommend this place. The coffee, the experience, the service and the baked goods are out of this world. I have been coming to the Outer Banks for nearly thirty years, and Alien Java stands out for two main reasons.

Their customer service is exceptional. . . to the degree that it is not just the best we've had in OBX, but perhaps the best anywhere. My wife, son, and I all left with smiles on our faces, as we sipped on our coffees (milk for our son) covered in alien stickers! The two ladies working the day we went greeted us like old friends, and engaged with us the entire time we were in the store. The only bad part was not discovering this till our last day on the way home!!

Their lattes are truly exceptional, like knock-your-socks-off good. We both got vanilla lattes, and we both ranked them among the best we've had. They had great flavor, and were strong but not overpowering. By far better than any other coffee...

For the past two weeks, I've been on a delightful adventure at Alien Java, and let me tell you, it's been nothing short of magical! Not only do I get to hang out with the cutest cat ever, but I also indulge in the most incredible coffees, particularly my absolute favorite: the hazelnut oat iced latte. The atmosphere is just electric—the moment you step inside, you feel the warm and welcoming vibe that makes it truly special. I’m going to miss this place so much until I return to Frisco!
