Country Tyme Fruit Stand — Local services in Hattiesburg

Stopped in to grab a quick lunch while on a road trip. My suggestion, dont make my mistake. The cold cut sandwich had an inedible amount of mustard on it, that may have been on purpose to mask the low quality/oldish meat. Have doubts about the local nature of the produce as well, the citrus was hard and the stone fruits over ripe and mushy. The canned goods selection seemed alright, we love pickles, however after actually eating the pickles we were quite disappointed spicy was just about the same as pouring franks red hot into a pickle jar. no real spice, just overwhelming heat. This fruit stand was clearly not as authentic as others on this stretch of road. Im sure some aspects of this stand are good, but nothing we purchased was. If you want watermelon or other local fresh produce just watch out for those vendors on the roadside, we stopped later and picked up some stone fruit and boiled peanuts off the back of a pickup truck that were much better quality and im sure it supported the...

This was a wonderful place to stop. Staff here was very friendly, and the goodies that they have are endless. You can receive fresh fruit of all kinds here including peaches which are some of the best ones I have ever eaten. They have fresh sweet baby watermelons! Inside you will find many types of different canned items from sauces, salsa, fruit, comes and jellies and even local honey. They also have peanuts green, as well as boiled.

Cold drinks of multiple kinds are available, and be sure to get some ice cream and sherbert. I tried both and they were both absolutely amazing!!!

We happened upon this place on our way home from vacation. We enjoyed looking around at all the fresh fruits and veggies along with all the other items. Lots of things from jams and jelly's to lye soaps and lotions. We picked up roasted peanuts and chocolate covered candies. We also sampled and bought a bag of brightly colored veggie chips. (I'm so ordering more of these online!!!)Their peaches and apples were giant and looked wonderful. It was around lunch time and they had a deli in the back so we ordered pulled pork and sat outside at the tables. The service and atmosphere was amazing!! This place is a must...
