I just had the most horrible customer service experience at this location. I came to return some spoiled meat I recently purchased the other day. The manager Aaron was called to assist. He asks for a receipt which I no longer had and I asked to use my debit card to look up the transaction and exchange. I wasn’t even looking for money back.
He proceeds to make up excuses as to why he can’t use my card to look up the transaction and refuses to do so. I’ve never had an issue with this method before for any return I’ve ever made. He then proceeds to practically accuse me of stealing by saying there are a lot of people who return stolen meat to get cash. Excuse me!? He then says he can’t take it back any way because the sell by date was today. It was clear to me he did not understand the actual meaning of “sell by date” as this is the last day the store has to display a product for sell.
Hypothetically speaking, I could have purchased this exact pack meat off of the shelf today…….and it was obviously bad meat….so again another illogical excuse. I decided to walk away from the situation as he clearly did not feel like doing his job and will definitely take this up with corporate tomorrow since it was such a big issue. I spend hundreds of dollars a month at this location and can’t even get decent...
   Read moreAfter a 3 hour power outage on 7/17/18 ruined my original dinner plans. I went to this Food Lion to purchase a few steaks to grill for dinner. I knew the store closes at 10 pm since that is what is posted on their doors. Plus I have shopped here regularly for 2 years. However upon arriving at the store at 9:57 pm. Robin blocked me from entering. I asked her why? Her answer in a very rude tone was because the store clock said 10pm. I showed her the clock on my cell phone stating it was now 9:58pm. To which she replied in a even more rude tone the store is closed. So I was forced to take my consumer dollars to a different establishment. Which was glad to receive my money and treat me right.

   Read moreI really have always liked shopping at food lion all my life, but I'm very disappointed, they they followed suit doing resets in the their stores like some other big box stores did, shopping now is very inconvenient , I am a mission shopper, I want to go in get what I need and be on my way, don't want to search over entire store to find what I need. I know reasoning behind this. If shoppers have to walk to find things maybe they will see other things they need or want, not the case in most situations. Sorry food lion, but just being honest, and most shoppers that I talk to at your stores feel the same, I have yet to find someone who likes it.
