Nail City L&R — Local services in Haw River

Called ahead and asked if they could do pink and white refills. They said yes. Got there and they couldn't. Their response was, "Oh, I thought you said ombre." I had to sit and wait 30 minutes past my appointment time. They chairs they have available for you to sit in are ridiculously tiny. I'm a size 12 and had a hard time fitting in them. They had two different techs work on me and the entire time they did nothing but make fun of the way my nails were done by my normal salon which I couldn't get to because I was out of town. You can see by the pictures where my old set was they didn't file off all of the dirt before doing a refill. I was so scared I was going to get an infection. One week after my refill my acrylic nails started popping off in 1 whole piece. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years and never have I ever seen a acrylic powder formed nail pop off in one solid piece. And they were the first ones to do a refill on me after a brand new full set. And to think they had the nerve to make fun of my normal salon. Update: as soon as I left this negative review they responded with false allegations and started texting me harassing me. Worst customer...

I needed my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, I was in an area i wasn't very familiar with so I went to Google, this was the closest to my location so I went. Walking inside, everyone was incredibly welcoming which is new for a nail/wax place. They had maybe 3 clients already but the woman asked me to check in and come straight back. She was INCREDIBLY nice and INCREDIBLY welcoming like I said, not something that's usual for a nail establishment. During the waxing, they had a rude, horrible woman come in, sit down and start yelling that the artist had no clue what he was doing. They handled the situation with so much class and decorum, I was amazed. The prices were the usual but, I walked out looking like a completely different woman. My eyebrows and lip were perfect w no irritation to my skin, which never happens. I am still in shock 3 days later, writing this review, at just how kind, welcoming, funny and just amazing everyone was. I will be making my 1 hr trek out there next month....
