I took over an hour to write my first review gushing over how amazing this place is, which apparently didn’t post 😭 So now I’m just going to hit a few key points: 1.) I would come back ANYTIME as this is exactly how Hawaii should feel. Peaceful. Serine. Beautiful. 2.) The people living and working on the land are AMAZING ā¤ļøšŸ§”šŸ’›šŸ’ššŸ’™šŸ’œ So is everyone drawn here meaning the other guests are fabulous! 3.)The extras complete the place - hot tub, sauna, pool, decor, offering of massage and smoothies! 4.) If you go you have to get a Lomilomi massage from Yuka. She knew exactly what my body needed both physically and energetically and it was the most amazing experience! Top 5 of my life. Not only that but I had a really rough birth - flat on my back - 5 months ago and it caused so much damage to my hips and lower back. I could barely walk at first afterwards and before I went I was still limping around after 5 months of healing care. I’ve had ZERO pain since my massage. Zero… it’s beyond words. Go to Banyan Tree Sanctuary. You will NOT regret it 🌈

We stayed in the Manta Ray Suite at the Banyan Tree Sanctuary (BTS) last week and had an absolutely wonder experience! BTS is located at the very end of a long road, so there is no noise from the road to ruin your serenity. The room was clean and nicely appointed with its own private balcony which led onto the salt water pool and spa. The communal kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals: large stove, shared refrigerator, dishes, coffee maker, etc. There was also a small refrigerator in the room along with a hot water heater for making tea or instant coffee. My wife enjoyed the onsite massage. It was a place to stay, unwind and relax. Highly recommended and hope to stay there next time we’re on the island!

We had an amazing stay at this hidden gem. The instructions to get to the place were spot on and very easy to follow. We were there for 7 days and 6 nights. It was so beautiful and serene. It felt like we were home. A very relaxing atmosphere. Very well kept up. The room was just the right size for me and my daughter. Benjamynn and Rae were very welcoming. They always made sure we were ok. Everyday we awoke to the birds chirping. Nice location. Almost every place we went was just 20-30 minutes away except when we ventured out further. It was always nice to come back and relax in the sitting area. The pool and jacuzzi was a nice edition as well. Definitely a great place to stay!

The place itself is nice. Our room was large with a lanai overlooking the property. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but fine. The kitchen dining area was nice. We followed the vegetarian/vegan request of the owners although we are not. We brought food from a Thai place in town that was vegetarian and heated it up in the microwave. One morning we had smoothies someone made, $10 each. ||The reason for two stars is that over two nights we never met any of our hosts. I saw one man showing other guests around the property. There is a tour you can pay for I guess. It was just weird in such a small place that no one said hello, greeted us, or acknowledged our presence. ||As were we’re leaving the guy who did the tour said good-bye. Ok. About 15 min later we received a text saying perhaps we had forgotten to pay for the smoothies. Nope. We left $20 on the desk. He said it wasn’t there. He was in the room right after we left. (So you did see us and decided not to say anything?) Maybe it blew on the floor when I opened the door? A bit later another text. The tour guide guy had taken the money thinking it was for him. Maybe don’t accuse us of theft until you’ve talked to your partners. Shaking my head. ||For a supposed Zen, mellow, peaceful place it was...

Ok, just so y’all know…if you have brown skin, or is possibly a local from Kona, Hawaii, you might not have the great service they advertise. I am Alaskan Native and stayed there for what was supposed to be 3 nights. I was allowed only 2 nights because we got in later than expected. I understand quiet hours are between 9pm and 8am, we had a lot of luggage and a sort of loud vehicle that we borrowed from a local resident here on the island, but to be woken up the next morning with hardly any sleep after a long drive, it was horrible. We couldn’t pick any fruit, we couldn’t walk their trails, they wanted us gone. I did however let my niece stay with us and of course I paid the difference but to be looked at as if we didn’t belong. Mind you it’s my daughter and i’s first time to Hawai’i and we thought we would get to pick fresh fruit from the trees as advertised, but we couldn’t and it we were very disappointed with the treatment we got. Sorry for the long read, but I just think you all should know, they might be prejudice against brown skin. Thank for your time in reading. We now know not to stay with them...
