Holei Sea Arch showed up as a popular tourist place on the Big Island. The way to the arch is inside the National Park. We went on a day when the weather was pleasant (because it had rained earlier) and the drive till the end point was superb. We stopped at several vista points on the way and the lava rocks on one side and the big ocean on the other side made it a rare sight. One needs to park at the end point and walk a short distance to go to the point from where the arch could be seen clearly. One can also walk further from that point and can visit the place where one can see a lot of coconut trees. This point was spellbinding views of the ocean.

We always drive to the end of Chain of Craters road when we visit the park. The Sea Arch is on the almost at the very end. This is an incredible natural phenomenon and a unique experience in Volcanoes National Park. The view of the arch is easily available to people of all physical shapes and capabilities. I definitely recommend stopping for this attraction.

Stunning vista and a VERY fascinating drive down to the ocean. The wind was really blowing and the waves were spectacular!! So happy we came back to the park to do this drive! Take time to stop at a few of the lookouts along the way - we saw a nene at one of them and the views are amazing!

This felt like an iconic experience, and was the perfect end to our long drive through the park. It was chilly! There is a path that goes past the arch, but despite it feeling like it must lead to something spectacular, it leads to a whole lot of nothing. I was glad there was a little gift shop and restrooms here - they were not to be found on...
