Shame on the media for making it sound like the whole island is on fire! It took us 40min by helicopter @224km/hr or something to even reach the lawa and then it flows the opposite direction. Many friends say they visit Hawaii and love it so much they want to make it their annual holiday. This helicopter ride especially has done EXACTLY that for me. I will be returning annually WITH my family as we got to see so much of the place and realised the medi blew this up way more than it should have. Such a cool service! Super cool staff. I spend more on tips than photos on this trip as we were So well looked after by staff at blue hawaiian. Do urself a favour and book this for ur excursion. Money well spent!

Shame on the media for making it sound like the whole island is on fire! It took us 40min by helicopter @224km/hr or something to even reach the lawa and then it flows the opposite direction.

Many friends say they visit Hawaii and love it so much they want to make it their annual holiday. This helicopter ride especially has done EXACTLY that for me. I will be returning annually WITH my family as we got to see so much of the place and realised the medi blew this up way more than it should have.

Took a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour out of this heliport. The tour I took was the Kohala Coast tour and it was absolutely spectacular. You can see a lot of valleys and waterfalls not accessible by road and it was definitely the highlight of the trip. Be sure to reserve early to get the time slot you want. The website didn't let me make a reservation with less than 24 hours to go so I had to call...

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters runs out of here. The Big Island Spectacular tour with Eric as our pilot today. It was a great flight, and a wonderful experiance for my wife and I. What a great way to see the Big Island! Great way to see the lava flows, waterfalls, and 11 of the 13...
