I am so thankful to Blairsville Cinema for being open!! I have been driving up from Atlanta (where there are no movie theaters open still) and enjoying movies at Blairsville Cinema once or twice a week. I have seen a couple of good new releases and some great older blockbusters.
Blairsville Cinema is great! The staff st Blairsville Cinema is just wonderful, so helpful, they are the best and nicest movie theater staff anywhere I have ever been! (well along with the Swan Drive in staff who are also just totally amazing) the staff at Blairsville Cinema treats me like royalty every time I come, they go above and beyond for me always to give me the best possible experience. They do such nice things for me like bringing me my hot dog fixed just the way I like it so I don't have to stand up and get tired since I can't stand up for very long at a time (the hot dogs here are great!!) I love the way this cinema is compact and everything is so close together so I don''t have to walk a long way with popcorn and drink in my hands. I also appreciate the nice seats in the lobby and the benches outside where I can sit and rest before and/or after a movie. Blairsville Cinema is also very clean, the cleanest theater I have ever been to, everything is always immaculately clean in there.
Blairsville Cinema and their amazing staff have made this tired, broken down old man's life so much better the last few weeks by being open and showing some great movies, they have really helped to fill a void during this dark time by being open for me to enjoy movies (Thanks especially Blairsville Cinema for running Smokey and the Bandit for me, one of my favorite movies ever!!)
Even when the dine-in theaters at home in Atlanta which I miss finally (maybe) open again, I will still visit Blairsville Cinema at times to enjoy the great experience they always give me here! If you live in the area or are visiting the area I highly recommend that you visit this wonderful place and help support them with your business, and enjoy a great time at...
Read moreParking is horrible. Staff is rude. You will need to arrive at least 1 hr before the movie begins if you want to sit with the people you came with. The seating is awful. The staff sell more tickets than they have seats available.
To reply to the person that responded to my post. I live fairly close to blairsville and have visited this location numerous times. However, the last 3 times I have had problems. One time the guy actually gave my 6 year old sons seat to another adult. My child ended up having to sit in my lap for the entire movie. And yes we were actually sitting at our seats when this happened. My child had stood up and was standing by me for a brief moment to get his snacks situated. A family should not have to sit seperatly. The option we were given was 3 single seats in different aisles. I'm sorry but my 6 year old son will not be sitting by a total stranger with me or my husband. I think there should be some consideration made when selling tickets and the theater is filling up. We should be informed of this BEFORE purchasing the tickets. I will personally from now on drive the extra 30 mins to Hiwassee to view movies. The theaters there have plenty of seating and are much...
Read moreIf you haven't been to a movie in a while, this is a great place to go. Everything is close together. The theaters and the concession stands. The seats are very comfortable and wider than most other cinemas and if you go before noon like I did, tickets are only $5 and I do believe they are going to be showing free movies on Monday during the summer. Classic movies and the concessions are very reasonable. Large popcorn large drink for $5 each refills a dollar refill. Large popcorn $2 so I saw the final mission. Impossible for $19 the ticket plus two large drinks and two large popcorns. First time I've been to the movies in 5 years because in Atlanta I think it's about $18 for a ticket alone and then another 30 for...
