Don't know how others folks are rating this place so well and not trying to be mean. We had to send 2 of our items back (burger was yuck - no sear, no flavor, totally overcooked and the brussel sprouts were so greasy)...My husband would have sent his steak salad back but he was hungry. Steak was like in a sub sandwich on top of a salad. I am sure they are trying - there were only 3 servers on a Saturday night and our server was super nice. Looks like a cool place and love the outdoor seating...the food was just not good mostly. I did order the blackened fish tacos after sending my burger back and they were actually super good. Hot and flavorful! My husband ordered the Mexican Street Corn and if you have ever had it anywhere else, it is a piece of corn on the cob with seasonings and melted white cheese on top. Well this was a bowl of grits (they were delicious!) with a little bit of corn kernels and some cheese in them. Not true Mexican Street Corn - but again, delicious. The rest of our group said there food was o.k. So they have some good things, BUT they definitely need to get the burger right. When it's this type of eatery AND they have a Burger of the Month thing, they have to get the burger right! Needs seasoning and a good sear and better meat. We visited on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm with a group of six adults and two children. We were seated promptly with no wait, which was a great start.

The Spice World pizza was easily the highlight of our visit – perfectly balanced with a delightful mix of spicy sausage, pepperoni, ricotta, and the sweet touch of Calabrian honey. The pizzas arrived fairly quickly, within 20 minutes, and were a big hit at our table.

However, the pace of beer service was slower than expected. It took about 20 minutes for our first round of beers to arrive, and the second round took another 20 minutes. On the way out, I ordered a crowler to-go, which never arrived until I had to inquire. Our server was fantastic though — she noticed the delay and jumped behind the bar herself to help speed things up.

In total, during our two-hour visit, we were only able to try two beers each, and even our server commented that the tab for a party our size was unusually small. If the beer service could be faster, I’m confident the tabs would be much higher – great for both the business and the guests!

Artsy and full of potential, but maybe could use a tweak to the drink experience. We sat at the bar and had drinks and aps...

We weren't thrilled with our drink choices, but they sounded amazing from the menu descriptions. The fruity drink I ordered was so sour I was convinced it was made wrong. The bartender said it was the best drink on their menu... so I was very hesitant to order something else.

We had the chips and queso & the chips and salsa. We missed the warm chips we're used to getting most places, but the flavor of the salas & queso we're great. The salsa needed salt added but we didn't see any out - it was too sweet - but it had a very fresh flavor which we appreciate.

In the end we didn't stay as long as we thought we might because the drinks weren't fantastic, and I ended up chugging mine right before we left because it was a $12.00 drink (our total was around $32, so maybe a little pricey for our experience).

It's nice to have options in Hayesville and look forward to picking better next time...
