Had a frustrating experience at Fort Hays Golf Course. We paid for 9 holes but had to stop after just one due to Lightning. When we asked for a rain check, the manager refused, saying we didn’t qualify because we only paid for 9 holes.
To make things worse, when we returned the cart, the manager actually left the pro shop to avoid talking to us. The employee working told us he said, “they should’ve checked the weather.” We did check the radar — it looked fine when we started but turned bad quickly.

This would be understandable if clearly stated at the time of purchase or on the city’s website, but it’s not, and that’s because other golfers have been offered rain checks.    Read moreI played here on memorial weekend. the golf course was in really good shape and the pro shop was very friendly, we even got a talk about the history of the course. but friendly stopped there. I have played all around the country I thought I was playing in New York or California the group in front of us blocked the cart path on nine going to ten so we had to wait for them at the club house and not even a acknowledgment that we were there. Even the Marshall just looked like he was a very unfriendly person we said hi and we got a glare from him overall it seems like the people from Hays are not so...
