I brought my niece here while she was visiting me for the summer. I told the hairdresser, LaKenda, that she wanted a complete 'peekaboo' hair style (the entirety of the under being completely blonde). She ended up only doing very minimal blonde highlights. She assured my niece and myself that the blonde would be 'very noticeable' once her hair dried, since her hair is so naturally curly we left with wet hair. Once getting home and allowing it to dry, we noticed that the blonde was hardly even noticeable. It was just a couple blonde streaks here and there, and many of our family and friends couldn't even tell that she had anything done. The very next morning I contacted them to try to come back to get more blonde put in, as that is what we originally asked for. I was told by the women who answered the phone that LaKenda was not there and to try calling later. I called several hours later and was then told it was her day off, provided my name and number and I would receive a call back from her. It has now been almost a week and I have yet to receive a call back to resolve this issue. I really did like the hair dresser and the atmosphere of the salon, but it definitely feels like we were deceived and lied to. And the fact that I never even received a call back to speak about the issue and how to resolve it is very upsetting. I even bought one of their hair products and tipped while there. I went in for a haircut, pretty much asking for a cross between Alice Cullen and Ramona Flowers. She didn’t ask for any reference photos besides one that I sent her to ask about pricing. I paid $32 for a bowl cut essentially. My hair was long before and I knew what I was getting into, but I didn’t expect to walk out looking like a mushroom. It was so bad that when I sent my friend a photo, she immediately suggested a wig. My boyfriends mom compared me to Toad and the guy from Dumb and Dumber. I don’t know what happened, she seems to have done good on everyone else’s hair. I’ve thought back to every time there could’ve been a miscommunication, and all I can think of would be once when she had a piece of hair that went to my collarbone and asked if that was short enough, to which I said no, shorter. I thought she would go 1 or 2 inches shorter. But that is not what happened. The front is shorter than the back and doesn’t even go past my ear. It’s almost like a mullet. Overall, she was friendly and talkative, but there was little communication and she did not style my hair at all...

I’ve called now THREE times and I’ve been told to call back and schedule later because ‘so and so’ isn’t in yet and I don’t know when they will be. That’s ridiculous. They need to get their lives together or else not bother answering the phone. It might be more beneficial for your salon to have a list of who’s accepting new clients instead of constantly sounding blissfully ignorant...
