Hamilton Food Center — Local services in Heath Township

I love this little grocery store and have watched it change and grow throughout my entire life. I love recognizing the same smiling faces and they recognizing me! I'm not normally a coffee drinker, but I've tried a few things from the coffee shop/cafe they attached and it was fabulous! I love coming through and seeing kids doing homework on their laptops w the free internet or seeing the old men that come to sit and have coffee and talk everyday! The store is always packed with families and they're always willing to help answer questions or help you find something! They just completely revamped things and put in all new coolers and displays! They have a great selection and aren't overpriced like some stores and always have great deals going on! Moore Family Pharmacy is located inside and I use them for all my many prescriptions bc they're knowledgeable and super friendly! There is no fast food in Hamilton, so it's nice to have Subway located inside as well! They also have a DVD rental machine...

The Cafe attached to the grocery store is nice. It is a quiet area to stop and get some work done, especially if you are someone that works remotely or has a job that involves a lot of travel. They have free Wi-Fi-, but it is not a secure connection. There is a cute little "den" area which Detroit Tiger's Fans would love! You have the option of purchasing some of the grocery store items at the cafe and getting a coffee, smoothie, etc. They have a punch card/rewards program, and have double-punches on Fridays. We have always bought our hamburg/ground beef at HFC, it's fresh and we prefer the grind of HFC's meat, compared to other stores. Twice in the last month we bought ground beef in 5 lb. bags, and twice it has had piece's of soft, blue plastic in it! We have been customers of HFC for approximately ten years now, but after this happening on two separate occasions, I have decided to take my business elsewhere... My advice is, go through your burger before using it. These were 2 of the bigger piece's, we did find another 4 smaller pieces of blue/white...
