My cousin Kathy Sippie taught art @ Tri-Valley HS years ago. So many people around here seem to remember her. So by chance if you were wondering by my last name, now you know. Anyway, called Mayer & Kehler to send a repairman out because our Maytag washer we purchased there on 3/9/23 is making bizarre noises during the agitation cycle. There repairman advised the Transmission needs to be replaced , it would cost $400 , and that according to the serial number the machine was built in 2020! His advise was to keep using the machine until it goes out and buy another!! Called Mayer & Kehler about the date of manufacture and was told they normally get 1/2 dozen washers in at a time and really don’t no when there built?? Put out $700 for a new washer and it appears it’s a luck of the draw type transaction. Why 2 stars? The dryer and the stove we also purchased that same day are still...

If your dryer needs serviced,look on You Tube first. My dryer was taking 3 cycles to dry the wash. The repair men came and put a temperature guage inside the drum and said it was doing what it was suppose to do. Took a check for the service charge of $90.10 and told me if it still isn't drying right to call again. We went on You Tube with the problem and found a step by step demonstration of how to see what the problem could be. When we took everything apart,we couldn't believe our eyes. Everything was jam packed with lint. Even though the lint trap was cleared after every use,it was completely packed.The first thing I thought was thank god we didn't have a fire. And they didn't check anything but the temperature of the drum. EASY MONEY!!!! $90.10 and I live 2 minutes away from the store....

I've used Mayer & Kehler before for all my appliance needs in my last 2 houses and always had excellent service and great prices. Well I had to use them again after my freezer went out due to storms , I went by on Friday and they had me a new freezer delivered early the next morning saving me hundreds of dollars in food. They went out of their way to assist me which is why I would highly recommend them for all appliances and any repairs, try getting that type of service from a big-box store.
