Dollar General — Local services in Hemingway

In all my years I would have never believed a dollar general experience would get me to write a review , but here we are.

My local dollar general is a train wreck and I avoid it if at all possible but I am out of town in Hemingway and needed some supplies that only they had so I figured what the heck.

This store is in the middle of a remodel and is better looking and less messy than our 2 year old store at home! That says a ton about the management and folks that work at this store.

The main reason I am writing this is to recognize the folks that work there and specifically , Netta. I hope I got that right. She is a ray of sunshine , in a job most folks trudge through. She knew her store , had great customer service skills and always had a smile. Its rare to see anyone in retail that is so kind anymore.

im not sure what is going on with this location but every time i come here it seems like they either dont have enough people working here or they just dont care enough. most of the selves look like they haven't been restocked or they just look unorganized. also, dont use this location for your fedex drop off's. i dropped off a packed here and turned out it never gotten picked up from fedex for a month because noone ever scanned the package in or communicated to the fedex driver that there're packages to pick up. and yes packages. there was a pile of boxes waiting to be picked up when i brought in my package. every time i called or came in they kept saying the driver will pick up tomorrow. poor customer service. sad that this is the only one in this town. management needs to get...

I am hoping this is the right dollar general. But I wanted to say thank you to the two girls working today early afternoon. Jennifer s and I am sorry I don't know the other girls name but they have excellent customer service skills and deserve a free lunch or something. They helped me out in so many ways they didn't have to and I will forever be grateful. Thank y'all again y'all made a horrible day so...
