K RV — Local services in Hempfield Township

WE WILL NEVER RENT FROM HIM AGAIN OR SUGGEST HIM TO ANYONE ELSE. BEWARE OF EXTRA FEES. It started out great but ended horribly. We rented an 11 passenger van for a week to take our team to the youth track championships in Jacksonville, Fl. The people behind the counter was awesome. The van was great. The kids medaled in their events. And we came back safely. My wife and I vacuumed and washed the van, as their policy states. However, when we returned the van, we were charged an additional $90. When I asked why we were being charged the owner said that we left the vehicle dirty. I asked him to show me and he became belligerent and disrespectful. He then showed me small pieces of grass that was on the 1 floor mat, a kernel of popcorn and a small piece of paper on the floor, smudges on the inside windows, and dust in the storage area. I then asked if I could take the van down the street and that’s when he became belligerent, yelling, putting his hands in my face. It became a very volatile situation. I asked him to get his hands out of my face and he kept going. My wife told me to let it go, so I did. It certainly did not have to go that far, and we definitely shouldn’t have been charged $90 for a piece of paper and dust. We had a great experience renting our RV from K Rentals. The 28' RV was a 2015 model and was in perfect condition and seemed brand new to us. Our kids said this was the best vacation ever. We were even able to use our hitch-mounted bike rack on the RV and save bike rental fees on our trip to Ohiopyle SP. I found the owners of K Rentals to be very straight forward and reasonable. Everything is spelled out in detail so there were no surprises. The RV was in spotless condition when we took it, so we worked hard to bring it back the same way. All of the deposit money was returned. We opted to have K Rentals re-fill the propane and clean the holding tanks, so there was a charge for that. We don't smoke and have no pets, so there was no issue with that. It is hard to find RV rentals that are in such good condition as these. There are other companies that offer older models, but we did not want a beat-up, smelly RV. I would definitely rent from this...

The owner is nasty. I give the 2 stars, 1 for Larry in service and 1 for the woman at the front desk, they are awesome! However, I will never use them again. Had our camper for service which was great however when we picked up our camper we noticed the jack was bent. The owner came out to fix it and appeared irritated. I showed him the bent part and he proceeded to hammer it back in place. I mentioned the tires on the jack took so abuse too, I said this isn't cool and he then told me that we were not welcome back there anymore, I then said, I wasn't looking for an attitude, he then said if you don't like then just go home, go home! I asked to speak to the owner and he stated it was him and told us to leave. I can also remember him being a jerk to the woman at the desk as well. As a small business owner of 40 years myself and working closely with clients, I would and never treated someone with such ignorance. Stay clear of...
