This is not your run-of-the-mill used book store, with books shoved every which way and in various states of disrepair. Henniker Book Farm is like a lovingly curated used book collection. With mostly hardbacks, and a few high quality paperbacks, though the selection is not huge there is something for everyone with all the main topics of general interest represented. The owners want to keep the store alive as a place for book lovers to be able to actually see and handle their wares instead of just buying online, and they will be very happy to see you. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll even call around to other stores in the area to find it for you! Of course, if you can't stop by in person buying online is a great option. I appreciate that they include a photo of each actual book they sell online so you can see what you're getting. Worthy of your business...

Nestled by the side of the road, the Henniker Book Farm is a lovely shop for anyone looking for used books.

Don't let the small, rustic building fool you. This little bookstore has an impressive inventory, including books about crafts, cooking, fiction, history, science, religion, and more. Much more.

Most of the stock is hardcover, but they do have a nice selection of paperback mysteries.

The interior is a bit of a maze, but all the sections and alcoves are well labeled, making it easy to find the topic you're looking for.

We thought the prices were reasonable and were pleased to find a couple of fiction books neither of us had read.

The day after Christmas I was on a used book store road trip looking to expand my Everyman’s Library collection. I was greeted by the shops puppy which told me right off I had found a good place. The layout is the very definition of a used book store-shelves filled with books in every direction with a crackling wood stove in the very center. Every section is wonderfully organized. As I paid for my newly found treasures I shared my interest in the Everyman’s Library books, and before I knew it I was gifted with four more books that the owners had flagged for donation.
