Miller's Apple Hill, Ltd. — Local services in Henrietta Township

It was a quaint little farm, with a small play area for kids. It has a general store, and will take you by tractor to the orchard. Apple prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. The reason for only 3 stars is the general store. While the apples are fresh and probably the cider as well, the dry goods definitely are not. I bought several bags of dry goods, soup mix, cookie mix, muffin mix, and a few other things. The muffin mix was old and stale, even after it was baked it tasted like old cupboard, like it had been open in a pantry for months. I assumed it was a fluke and things slip through the cracks. Unfortunately, all of the dry goods were stale. Each thing I made tasted like stale cupboard and should have been thrown away rather than sold. I had items from every area of the store so it wasn't an isolated incident. The bags all said repackaged for them, so who knows how old all of this stuff is. Very disappointed with the store. I so enjoy a drive on Rt 113 through the country to get to🍎 Apple Hill...have been going there since my children were young and now take my grandchildren! Fresh delicious apple, apple cider, every salty and sweet snack you can imagine, and then there are the baking goods!!! If you enjoy making unique breads, cookies, candies, and cakes THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO SHOP! You can buy a little or in bulk. Courteous and informed staff, plenty of parking, and right on Rt 113. Great local shop! Frequently go there for snacks and baking supplies. Dry goods store stocked with a large variety of bulk foods: candy, candy-making ingredients, baking and cooking ingredients and wares, gluten-free flours, nuts, dried fruit, pasta, as well as soda pop, cheese from Amish Country, and produce from their own orchards. Have flower sales in spring and a small harvest festival in fall, including pick-your-own apples and a straw-bale maze.
