We stayed in cabin #(2) and really enjoyed the cabin itself, but there were some issues. For one, the mini split heater did not work, it made a God awful squeaking sound, and even if you maxed it out at 85 degrees, it wasn't putting out much if any heat at all. And the second issue is that they don't tell you or show you in the pictures that it is only 50 feet off of Rt 40. So, if you're not used to high traffic sounds all night, you may want to reconsider. Basic amenities, you're going to have to provide for yourself. No plates, no cups, no paper to start a fire, no matches. Etc. I tried to contact someone about getting matches to start a fire because of the heater that was not working, and I never got a response. The cabin itself was extremely clean, and the bathroom was very nice. Double beds, clean sheets. No complaints about that. Luckily, there was plenty of firewood just outside the door. But if you plan on making a fire, bring your own fire starter matches or paper.

Second time staying here and absolutely love it. We stayed in cabin 8. It is a bit drafty, but once we got the fireplace heated up, it was very cozy. Cabin is clean, fire wood is seasoned well, and the coffee shop is amazing. Although it is not as secluded as other places, it is still absolutely lovely, and we were not bothered by the passing vehicles. It snowed most of our stay and we absolutely loved every minute. Absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful people running this place. This is our second winter stay, and our kids insist that we return during the summer to enjoy the pool. Can't wait to stay here again!!!

Could be a great place, but the cabin was coated in mildew inside. Everything is damp and moldy. There were 3 of us who stayed there. We were so sick from the mold that one had to leave a day early. The other two of us stayed outside until we had to go to sleep. We would have been better off in a tent or even just sleeping outside. We didn't use anything inside the cabin until we had to go to sleep and would have felt a lot better if we just did that in our cars.

Have stayed here twice so far. Both times were awesome. The cabins are nice and also located central to pretty much everything the area has to offer, the staff is always super friendly and helpful (they're locals so any questions you may have about what to do or where to go just ask and they're more than willing to help), it's also affordable, clean, and comfy. What I will say after reading other reviews is that yes it isnt way out in the middle of the woods so if that's what you want then go get a place that'll probably cost you double or tripple a night. This place is for an easy, relaxed, affordable getaway with the family that wants to go boating or hiking or something like that and then have the convenience of staying in a nice place with a fire after that without any hassle. So if that's what your looking for then this is the place for you. I will continue to go back and appreciate them for...

Stayed in cabin 4, checked in Friday July 18, 2025. The cabin itself was nice, being a cabin. Dog friendly cabin with no latch on the door, screen on the door busted and between 3 and 4 extra large dogs out the back door with a short fence. No railing on cement block steps with cracks and chips all through. I am 65 and needed help getting up and down. The bathroom shower is basically downhill, very slippery. The beds had my husband and I so stiff, he tried to sleep in our truck. My grands came with me and they were also very sore from the beds in the morning. We had to miss our concert for kc and sunshine band because of how sore everyone was. When we woke, we thought atleast the coffee shop is right here, it was closed on a Saturday morning. Atleast 100 people stopped and their website said they should be open. This was the worst stay, a military cot was better than those beds. I wish I could...
