This is a review of only the cozy cabins, not the town they are located in, which has a unique and controversial history in itself. The check in was easy as I only had to call the number on the door when I arrived. The manager was friendly. We toured the town as we were going to go into Zion the next day. That's an experience. Just to be clear, these cabins are located in what seems to be someone's back yard. There's an occupied fifth wheel trailer on the lot and some other unrelated bungalows that seem occupied. The parking area is dirt. We booked 2 nights here.
The cabin was clean and stocked although the decor could use updates. Bedding looked late 80s and the sheets felt well used but I'm no interior designer. The mattress was very very flimsy. Reminded me of someone's old mattress from their RV. It had a memory foam topper but I still sunk into the box spring which is torture for my back. The pillow was tortilla thin (good thing I brought my own). The AC unit is right over your head... Inches... and blows cold, but it makes your head ache after a while. I woke up at 2AM with an earwig on my head and another on my shoulder. I jumped up and threw them off and was wide awake. With the combination of the poor mattress and the bugs, we decided to pack up and go into the town of Hurricane and get a chain motel room, which we did.
I called the manager to tell him of my experience and that we had left in the middle of the night. I didn't ask for a partial refund and none...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed here a few days ago while visiting Zion National park, even though itās an hour out from the park we saw reviews and thought it would be worth it. We were wrong.
The girl handling check in was very nice and accommodating however the cabins themselves were not the best experience - when we pulled in there was a big camper right in front and the cabins are placed in what looks like someoneās backyard. (Theyāre in a small neighborhood). Not trying to sound like a Karen in todays world of reviews š£ but unless youāre trying to have a super cheap stay somewhere I highly donāt recommend staying here.
The first cabin we were placed in had a beeping noise like a fire alarm every 30 seconds and the cabin looked like it had not been cleaned - dead flies in cobwebs in windows when we went to close blinds and webs hanging from ceiling. They moved us to a second cabin after the solution for the beeping could not be fixed - and this cabin had the AC unit directly over your head while sleeping so you either have a very cold head or keep it off. The bed was awful as well it was like sleeping on a couch pullout that had a curved mattress so you sink in and sleep in a sunken bed. Sorry guys! These cabins could potentially be a lot better if more effort was put into the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a great time staying here! The name implies exactly what it offers, but there was more space than we were expecting. Has all the amenities you could need (coffee, mini fridge, microwave, Netflix) & the host was very gracious & accommodating. A few cosmetic touch ups would take this place to the next level, but all very easy things to look past:) Comfy bed & hot shower! We used our own pillows, though. The outlet the tv was plugged into wasnāt working, but it was an easy fix for us, we just used a different outlet.
My boyfriend and I personally really liked the AC unit above our heads on the bed, since it was so hot out. There were a few spiders, just a heads up if you donāt like critters. The cabin does face a trailer & the neighbors home, but it didnāt bother us & Russ, the host, said heās in the process of fencing in the area for privacy. There were also a couple of cats that loved hanging out with us! They were so sweet.
Overall, this is a great place to stay for a night or two & you can tell thereās been so much hard work and effort put...
