My whole family loves the Eno parks around the Eno River. The parks are well maintained and clean. There are miles and miles of hiking trails, and the rangers are doing programs more frequently to get people out and into the park. My only complaint is that it seems most people ignore the "all dogs on leash" signs and rules. I've been chased up rocks by people's dogs when they let them run free on the trails.

Eno River was a beautiful park with clean wide trails, dense forest area, and friendly visitor center staff. When we went there was extreme rainfall, a lot of the trails were flooded, the river was dangerously high. But with all the rainfall the plants and trees were bright with color, the park is well maintained and we would love to go back when the weather lightens up.

When we went there it was sunny, bright and hot. But there are lots of tall trees that give shade to just rest, relax, listen to the birds and quietness in the middle of the woods and of just being outdoors. Visitors are friendly and since it's just beside a main road close to the city, you do not have to go for a long drive if you are visiting in town. The trails and river are close to the parking area. Both kids and adults seemed to have fun in the river. There's a photography museum and picnic area. Dogs are on leashes and there's also...
