Blooming Glen Pork & Catering — Local services in Hilltown Township

We've always enjoyed the pulled pork and chicken bbq at BG. Been patron for many years, 1-2x's a month during season and we've learned to get the roll on the side bc, by the time we get to sit down and eat, the roll is always soggy. Today, we decided to get an order for the freezer so we could eat it during the winter and, for some reason, the feller serving us filled the container to half of what's been typical.

Now, this has been happening all season. Portions smaller and smaller. Today, I decided to ask why bc at $10/bbq sammy, I mean, why skimp?! $27 aint gonna change our lives, it's just the point...

Even a simple request to please add some juice on top of the pork, which had always been happily provided, was denied by the haggard looking young feller.

To add insult the young feller tried to charge me for a brisket sammy instead of the pork. When I called his mistake to his attention he eventually says 'my bad'. I mean, of course it was but an apology would've been nice too. Honest mistake? Like to think so but idk.

Big picture? Won't remember this on my death bed. We'll enjoy it on a cold, winters day regardless but squeezing a nickel until the Indian is riding the buffalo is being a penny wise and a dollar foolish.

Blooming Glen catered my wedding in August and we were so happy with the work they did! We went with a BBQ menu, with the meats we chose grilled right at our venue. Finalizing a menu was difficult because there were many appealing options, but Meghan, the catering manager, worked with us to find a menu that worked for our tastes and the dietary restrictions of our guests. The meat tasted fresh and delicious, as did the sides and the appetizer spread we selected. They even decorated the buffet tables beautifully to match our wedding decor. The staff was friendly, professional and made sure each detail was addressed. For the amount of work and care put into making our day just right, we felt that the price was very reasonable. OMG!!!! After passing this place for years we finally had the idea to try this place. Unbelievable BBQ! We had the 1/2 rack of ribs, an order of the pig wings, and the brisket bowl. From one mouth watering bite to the next this was the most amazing BBQ we have ever had!! Fall off the bone, deliciously flavored, melt in your mouth goodness! The brisket bowl is beef brisket (melt in your mouth) topped with they're home made Mac and cheese, then topped with a generous sprinkle of corn bread. A combo like no other!!
