I had the opportunity to play golf at Port Royal last week with a couple of friends. Arrived and the gentleman working bag drop was excellent. Took care of the bags, provided directions along with answering all questions. The one negative is I stopped to grab a few High Noons from the bar. The bartender is a very nice young lady with an outgoing personality. I ordered 3 High Noons for the course. She bagged them with ice, and provided the bill. Holy...,the bill totaled $38.75, so almost $13 per 12 ounce High Noon. I fully understand making a profit but, wow! Course is in good conditions with fairly small greens. Not complaining, just fact. The greens are relatively fast, which I enjoy since I jab when putting. Most greens had little to no break but still fair. You pretty much have to hit the center of the hole or they are not going in. A few quirky holes that had to be jammed in to have 18. Don't really care for those types of holes but fully understand why. We did see the cart girl one time. Very nice and a lot of fun. Overall a good day and I would enjoy...
Read moreFirst time in Hilton Head and Heritage made my golf experience Great! Shutout specifically to Kim Runyon who set up my tee times at the courses I requested based on my timeline and ensured my 2 rounds a day lined up almost perfectly where I didn't have to wait long between rounds, but still had enough time for a quick breather. I played Port Royal (2 rounds) Oyster Reef, Shipyard, and Palmetto Hall (Arthur Hills) which all were beautiful courses, well maintained, had friendly/helpful staff, nice facilities, and even good food. Overall great experience and if/when I come back to Hilton Head, I will be calling...
Read morePurchases an unlimited 2 month membership for my wife and I this January and February. We were treated like royalty by the internal staff and rangers and starters. If you plan I playing numerous round during winter stays, I highly recommend this group of golf courses. Greens could have been better at Oyster Reef, but the general conditions of the courses were above average for this time of year. Perfect pace of play at Shipyard, Oyster Reef, Cupp, and Hill. Barony and Robbers Row were very slow. Need a few...
