Hobart Lanes — Local services in Hobart Township

Tldr: bad lanes, sub par food, poorly kept restrooms, nice staff, cheap.

I've only been here once and the lanes themselves are in terrible condition. There's visible lines all throughout the lanes that make bowling there a less than optimal experience. The oiling on the lanes are very uneven as well. If you're bowling and don't bring your own ball, be wary that most of the rentals have extremely small holes that are spaced widely from the thumb to the middle and ring. The tech is also not too great but that's not too big of a concern. Staff is pretty well and quick with fixing issues though. The food was also sub par, even for bowling alley standards. The bathroom (male) has broken and rotting ceiling tiles and overall is not very clean. The only thing that is worth going here...

The people running this bowling alley are racist. Yesterday my aunts, my cousins and I decided to go bowling. We’re all black by the way. When we walk in the lady at the front desk is in the middle of a conversation. When she see’s us, she stops the conversation and ask are we here to bowl. We say yes and she proceeds to tell us that there are no lanes open. Be mindful at the fact that there are already people in there bowling and there are plenty of open lanes. So we leave and see a group of people walk in with bowling balls.Yes they were white. We wait in the parking lot to see if they come back out and 15 minutes later they’re still in there. I decide to get out of the car and walk in, and I see them...

Went cosmic bowling. Minimal variety of bowling ball selection, the only debit/credit card machine in the building was apparently working poorly since the girl had to type in most cards, the restaurant side has no card reader at all; must pay cash. Aside from that, only one bartender working both sides of the bar, busting her tail to wait on everyone efficiently. Finally the details of the "Cosmic" experience: the only seemingly decent aspect were the blacklights down the length of the lanes. Two light balls in the alley area were not working at all, the only working party lights were 3 small light pods mounted above a few lanes. Would seek another location before...
