Hello, everybody! I hope you'll take the time to read my review and reasoning behind the one star that Pink Boutique deserves.
Anyways, I am not too sure where to begin. I guess I'll talk about the employees themselves. For starters, everyone there talks to you with much respect. It's all there. But this dress shop isn't what it let's off to be right away. Though there are a few people that are wonderful, they all let off a very fake vibe. They tell every customer the same thing, "yep, this dress could be the one." I noticed it was often said on the higher priced dresses. They're only out to get your money. How can I be so sure? Well, for instance, they basically pressured us into purchasing a 500 dollar dress.
How? As we were still in the dress, they told us that someone else wanted to try it on, and took it from our dressing room. Immediately after, they stated that they have a policy where only 1 person can have a certain dress at a school, that way they eliminate the same dress showing up. Surely enough, the girl who wanted to try on the dress was from the same school, so now we were skeptical and worried about not getting this dress. Because of that, we decided to purchase the dress so we could get our hands on it first. We thought we had won.
The next day we realized it isn't the dress. There was too much pressure from the employees so we bought it just to buy time. Now we have a dress for 500 and thought we could just take it back. It wasn't even touched yet. So we called, and we asked. They said they have "a zero return policy." What? It hasn't even been 24 hours. So we explained the situation and they sounded like they understood. They said, "my manager will be here at 1:30 and we'll call you back." We never got a call. They were supposed to call 2 of us. Neither of us received anything. This all simply would have been avoided if they had told us there was a zero return policy when purchasing that dress.
All in all, don't let them fool you, make sure you ask about the policy, or you could just simply avoid...
Read moreWe scheduled an appointment to try on dresses and when we arrived the store was closed. The owner blamed it on one of the young girls working the shop, but I specifically remember making the appointment directly with her. We ended up rescheduling the appointment. We arrived the second day for our scheduled appointment and were greeted by the owner who told us right when we walked in that “any dress in the front section of the store is 40% off”. She inquired about the size of dress we were trying on and the colors we were looking at. She knew we were only shopping in the front of the store where there was 40%. We looked through the entire front of the store and tried on about 8-10 dresses and decided to do one more sweep to make sure we didn’t miss anything, and during our last look, we saw the perfect dress hanging up by the register(IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE) in the exact size and color we were looking for. I asked if this dress was already being purchased by someone and she said no everything was still available. We fell in love with this dress and went to purchase it expecting it to be 40% off, but much more of our surprise the owner rang it up full cost and explained it was one of the new dresses she just got in and it’s not discounted. We were very confused as it was in the front. We asked and she said “I like to keep it up here to keep an eye on who tries it on” even though there was an entire different section of the store with all the new dresses that are not discounted. It hit me after I left the store that the owner purposely pulled that dress and placed it in the front of the store so we would see it. It was a completely embarrassing experience to have to walked out without the dress we wanted to purchase. The way this woman conducted herself throughout our entire experience from start to finish is childish and disrespectful. Save your money and...
Read moreIf I could give this place anything less than one star I most definitely would. The ladies are snobs, and their customer service and awful, just vile. Everything these ladies say is straight word vomit. I bought a $550 dress from there for my junior prom: buying a dress from here was my first mistake.. We had to have it special ordered and shipped, took forever. I pulled the dress out of the bag and there were gems missing and falling off. The seamstress fixed it and we were on our way! Woohoo yay, prom here I come! No. Not the case. I was 15 minutes into prom and my dress had fallen apart and only got worse throughout the night, people were picking up my gems and handing them to me at the end of the night. It was ripped and torn and there was nothing I could do about it. We returned the dress to see if they could fix it or give us our money back or something. They said they were willing to fix it on their own dime and they’d call us when they’re done. Great! We called a month later and they said it wasn’t done. Called during summer and we got the voicemail saying, “A Pink Boutique is out for the Summer.” Awesome!! We went back today and asked for the dress and it HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED BY ANY SEAMSTRESS!!! It’s still in the condition it was before. By this time, they’ve had this dress for 9 months so there was plenty of time to fix it. Anyway, I went there to try on dresses because they do have the best variety of dresses near me. Every time I put on a dress it was, “oh this dress could be the one!!!!” I finally found the one at $550, I said hell no and drew the line. We went to another store and got the exact same dress for $330!!! It only retails for $200. If you buy a dress from there you’re being...
