Let me begin by saying that I've been a customer at this site for over 50 years, starting way back when I was a child and my mom took me to what was then Wise Way. I'm always friendly and smiling, speaking to workers when I come in. Well, today was the ABSOLUTE LAST TIME I will step foot in that place!! I went to the store today (10-30-21 between 2:15 and 2:45) and was using the self-checkout. I always use the Walmart ones with no problem; these at Strack's always give me (and others I've seen using them) problems. It kept giving the command to put item in bagging area, when I had already done so. The woman supervising the machines came over and very rudely told me that I had to wait until the green light came on before picking up my bags. I had been doing that, so I told her that I know. She kept rudely ordering me on what to do and I just continued to say that I know. Then, she is standing away from me, far enough for other customers to hear and tells me that I have to wait for the green light. I told her that it kept doing this every time I lifted my items up to double bag them. She continued to argue with me. So I just said forget this and went elsewhere to buy my groceries. This was the last straw but not the only rude, unprofessional thing I have witnessed there. On numerous occasions, I have either witnessed or experienced rudeness from workers. Many times, I've had to listen to workers, often managers, standing around gossiping about customers or other workers. I've witnessed managers standing out in front of customers, berating workers, often the mentally handicapped ones.Prices have been way too high, even before Covid. All of that is bad enough, but I will not tolerate being treated like a nothing, like an idiot, by someone who wouldn't have that job if it weren't for the customers. I'm sure with these things happening, you've probably already lost many other customers and will continue to lose them if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEverything you need. NICE set up to find what you need. However if you have young children who both need a seat in the carts they don't have but 1 that they won't bother to look for. Then as I did that with both my children ( 2 year old in basket.)the people who help you out piled my stuff on my nearly 2 year old instead of walking out to help me. previously i had rated them high. But now I see they are NOT very family friendly and how is it other customers helped me including an older man but the workers didnt? This used to be my go to. But Im going to drive a little further where I can get my kids safe in a cart, fit our groceries and have help out if I need it at the time. Oh and I'm not some self entitled person. I tip the people who help me to the car with the groceries and more often than not I do it myself. But when they see that I have two kids no way to shop completely BECAUSE they don't have carts that fit kids and groceries AND they pile them up on my kids instead of helping me out the store it shows just how lovely the people who are there are and how little management pays attention. Also the older gentleman who helped me to the car had to do his own. Stopped to help me because my child was under groceries. He watched them do it and decided to help me. I want to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to the Stracks on old ridge road in Hobart. Another bad experience. Been doing most of my shopping elsewhere through curbside but I can't get WIC on curbside so I have to go into a store to get my WIC. Yet again Stracks has their WIC items tagged wrong. I purchased an item that had a purple Wic sticker on it. It was 12oz of an almond cereal. It came back denied. I told them there was a Wic tag on it. Now I'm holding up the line. I've gotten this cereal under WIC for quite some time. They changed the ounces at some point and Stracks still had a wic tag on the 12oz but showed me on their smart phone app that it now has to be over 18oz. But Stracks had it marked for 12oz. The cashier likes to yell out, hey manager I need help with this Wic!!! I don't know how many times I've asked management to have their employees stop yelling out what form of government payment their customers are using. It's inconsiderate to yell out, "Hey I'm having trouble doing this guys food stamps order etc." Lindsey the manager made it a point to show me on her phone the new WIC standards and took the WIC lable off to show me they took the incorrect lable off. But not before I held the line up for ten minutes and the cashier's yelling out again...
