📍 Carvins Cove Reservoir Trail Roanoke, VA 💰 $7 to park (cash only!) 🥾 Easy-to-moderate trail — peaceful, wide path with mountain + reservoir views the whole way 4.5 miles out and back but go as far or little as you want 🌊 The water looks Caribbean-level blue because of the clean, protected watershed + the way the sun hits it 🔵☀️ 🚫 You can’t swim — it’s Roanoke’s drinking water — but it makes the whole place feel untouched & magical 🦅 I spotted herons, wildflowers, and barely any people It’s the kind of trail that feels like a total reset without being too hard.
