We bought a house several months ago but we're not selling our other house, which means we're not moving our stuff from the old place to the new place; we're furnishing the new place from scratch. We wanted high-quality furniture and found Amish Home Furnishings during our search.
We're going to end up buying most of our furniture from them. We've worked with Betty, who's been fantastic. She's knowledgable, gives good advice, and has the patience of Job--which she's needed in dealing with my wife and me! We're buying in several phases, starting with the most important and progressing over time to the less essential things. In all, we'll buy 3 bedroom sets, a dining table and 8 chairs, a game table, a leather executive chair, 3 end tables, an entryway piece, a coffee table, 2 stools, a Mission-style glider, and multiple etageres to display a collection. All of these pieces can be customized with any wood and any stain, and many can be customized in other ways as well. Betty has worked with us on each piece individually, and it's taken my wife and I some time at times to figure out what we want. Through it all, Betty has answered questions and guided us, and never once pushed us or seemed frustrated. Hence the Job comment earlier.
The quality of the furniture is outstanding. By now we've had the 3 bedroom sets, the dining table and chairs, the coffee table, and the 2 stools delivered and they've been as nice as promised and as shown in the showroom. We'll place our third order this weekend, after we've decided on a few last details about end tables. This has not been just a purchase, it's been a project in phases and Betty's been with us the whole way.
We're glad we discovered AHF. The furniture is typically--but not always--a bit more expensive than the stuff at the conventional retail furniture stores, but the quality justifies the price, and in fact several pieces have seemed like a bargain. It's hard, if not impossible, to find this kind of quality at the large furniture chains. They have a clearance room that I check every time I go, and have picked up a couple of bargains there.
If you're looking for high-quality, all-wood, American-made furniture at a fair price, I recommend you check out AHF. I've gushed about Betty, but everyone there has been helpful and friendly and overall great to work with....and I know that 'cause I've spent a LOT of hours there over the...
Read moreMy wife and I have always wanted some nice Amish furniture. We moved to Florida and found Amish Home Furnishings in Holly Hill. The furniture in the showroom was gorgeous! We splurged and bought a hutch, large dining room table and 6 chairs. Purchased in May 2021 with a delivery in September. In September we had heard nothing. In October we received the hutch but were told the table will be late January. On Feb 8 we finally received our table and chairs. For the painfully late delivery I take off 1 star. The men delivered and showed me how the leaves go into the table. There were several defects in the wood but I accept that. Wood can't be perfect. But what I didn't like was that there were some small bubbles that looked like defects in the finish. The delivery man said, "well its made in a garage so you have to expect some imperfections" hmmmmmm. My wife arrive home from work and I want to show her how the leaves go in. But I can't get them to fit. I see on one side of the leaf is a skirt and it is preventing the leaf from going into place. I try to pull it a bit assuming it is a tight fit and the skirt is loose! Its going to break off any day now. So now, after an epic battle, I have 4 leaves in but 2 of them have a small gap. I do not think I can ever take the leaves out again. I called the store at the time when I could not get the leaves to fit. I left a message and never got a call back. I guess they made their sale. They don't need me anymore. Plain shoddy workmanship and not great service.. Bottom line. I should have saved $3-$4k and gone to a regular furniture store. My last dining room table lasted 25 years and was sturdy as a rock. Why not 1 star? The hutch is nice and the chairs are very nice. I would love to buy 2 more chairs but I won't. Why should I torture...

I can’t say enough good things about the customer service and quality and we were so impressed we ended up buying a dining room set and a bar/wine rack, as well as currently talking about picking up a credenza/TV cabinet. Our table and chairs are made with a beautiful elm wood for the table top and chair seats, with black stain on the table and chair legs. Absolutely stunning. I highly recommend taking a look, you just never know what will move you and you just can’t go wrong here. ...
