NONSTOP PROBLEMS FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS! FOOT INJURY INCLUDED! MANAGER ASSISTANCE REQUESTED. First, the main lady was asking us to do her job for her by asking us to tell anyone behind us that they couldn’t come in as they would be at capacity. Why is this our job as paying customers?
Second, when we get to the admissions window, without warning, they charged us for access to the outside area only when we only wanted access to the inside area. There were no signs, indications or warnings that our fee would be for the outside only.
The man at the counter, after payment, AFTER payment, then INCORRECTLY tells us that the inside is closed and that the fee covers the outside only. At this point we already felt like leaving because this totally defeated the purpose of us showing up to swim laps, indoors, for exercise…but in true bureaucrat fashion, they don’t allow refunds. Typical.
We then asked if the credit that we paid for outside access could be applied to the inside access to which, again, in bureaucrat fashion, the same lady who was trying to get us to do her job told us no multiple times stating “trust me, I’m the nice one around here.”. That’s customer service for ya.
We go in and not only are the lockers dinky small, they again, without any warning or notice, need 50 cents to be used. We had to bring our things all the way back to the car with the exception of a few small items which we then had to put in one of the insecure lockers hoping no one would take our things.
Then once we got in the water, within about 4 minutes, there was a 10 minute break where everyone, like sheep, had to get out of the water because some dude blew a whistle. What the heck is this? We weren’t even in the water for 10 minutes!
Getting back into the water, there was no indication that there were indentations in the cement and as a result, my brother went to climb down, fell and INJURED his right foot which is STILL hurting an hour later as I write this, with a pain scale of 5/10. I'd like to speak to someone in authority about how this can be made right, as this is absolutely unacceptable!
Finally, once we got in the water and actually enjoyed ourselves for about 30 minutes, the same dude who blew the whistle and got everyone out of the water came over to let me know that I had to be wearing swim trunks instead of my very slim basketball shorts. When asked what to do he suggested leaving and getting some swim trunks and coming back, but honestly, who is going to do that? At this point we were done and just left angry with an injured foot.
I really want to speak to the person in charge of this facility, and not the lady who was trying to get us to do her job for her even though it seemed she was in charge. I’d like to speak to someone above her. This entire experience was beyond ridiculous and messed up our whole day.
Edit: 7/10/2021 I called the center on 7/6/2021 and gave the center my name, contact information, and three different times when I could be contacted to discuss this matter. I was never contacted and will be looking into what can be done with regard to compensation for my brothers...
Read moreWe paid to celebrate my sons 5th birthday here. First off the lady's in the office do not have their things together. We had to make 3 separate trips to pay for our group which was an hour drive because of their lack of knowledge. We ended up paying $520 to rent out the pavilion and water park. When we got there to set up the pavilion was being used for the public. Their was no birthday party going on so we let them know we were there and needed to set our stuff in the pavilion and my grandmother was in a wheel chair and needed to to sit there. We were informed we would not be allowed to use the pavilion until 4:30. The party we rented was from 3-6. When I told her about my grandmother she informed me just push her over by the lifeguard and she can sit under his umbrella. When I told her are you serious you guys will be getting a bad review she literally screamed at me. Then screamed at my father when he went to talk to them about the situation. Either way we had planned his birthday and the kids was excited so we decided to stay. Once it came time for pizza and the cake they brought out the wrong pizza. It was supposed to be all pepperoni and instead it was all cheese. She then informed me they wouldn't have time to make more pizza for the party our guest could either just not eat the cheese pizza and they refund us the money for the pizza, OR we could just choose to eat the cheese pizza with no refund. Of course we had 35 hungry guests from swimming so we chose to eat the pizza. Upon eating we were SWARMED by bees. I am not talking a few, I am talking 100's. 4 of th children at the party was stung. We went to inform them and the guy came and sprayed some stuff all over the floor and then informed us he couldn't tell us what to do they always just swat at the bees so we needed to just swat them away. Keep in mind we still hadn't even done cake. Everyone in the party had to leave the pavilion from the bees. We didn't get to sing Happy Birthday or anything over it. It was the worst birthday experience we have ever had, and we always throw big parties. I will however say that the waterpark itself was pretty awesome. We will possibly go back and just pay the $6 to get in and swim all day, but will never do another party with these people. I do not suggest doing parties at all here. I chose not to give this place a 1 star review only because the kids absolutely loved the water park itself. The unorganized rude staff, the bees, and how they seemed to only care about money vs customer satisfaction is what got them a low...
Read moreWe planned a Sunday at the pool ,for my husband and I. We looked online and saw the Sunday hours are 1-4pm, We said great we will get there right a 1 and should be able to find a seat and relax. When we arrived at 1:01pm there was limited parking and already a line to get in. We said ok and waited . While we waited I noticed how many negative rules and signs were all over the front. Nothing welcoming or friendly, just "DO Not" and "No...." When we finally arrived to the ticket booth,20 minutes later, we hear all the rules and "Do Nots" again. We paid for the 2 of us and went in. We were so disappointed to learn that there was no seats or tables or lounges anywhere to be found, we did several laps around the pool deck, but nothing was available. A lot of people were saving chairs or a table for 6 was only being used by just 1 person. We knew no one was leaving any time soon since the pool just opened. Also I understand this center is for families, but there was no area just to wade without other people's children all over you, we do not have children and wanted a pool we can swim and lay out at. We decided this is a waste and we were not interested in staying. I went inside to ask for our money back since we could not use even sit at the pool and enjoy it, we had been at the pool for about 5 minutes. The young girl was nice ,but all she advised that the pool opened a 12pm, and either we put our stuff on the ground in the mulch, a locker or rent the $45 cabanas. I told her online hours are incorrect and another lady complaining about the same thing said " yes, hours online are showing 1pm" . I advised if they did away with the cabanas and birthday party pavilions on the deck you could add about 80-100 more seats. My husband said that the center is lettings too many people in and not enough accommodations for everyone. We could not get a refund and filled out a form to the county to see if they can provide a refund. I am not holding my breath and I am disappointed with the center not having enough accommodations for everyone and also not thinking of those who do not have children, who might also like to enjoy a pool day. My suggestion is to get more lounge chairs and have a small area of the pool that is more catered to adults to wade and sit, no slides, no lazy river, no splash pad...
Update, I have heard back from the director, and she advised on some of my concerns and is working on a refund, I will plan on a visit the center again knowing what I know now, and see if I can change my 2...
