KEL'S KOVE RV PARK & MARINA — Local services in Homer

I have stayed here last year and was booked for a Medium cabin.#3 I was put in a small cabin which I needed the bigger cabin to cook. The owner Beck and Carl both said that the pictures that they posted for the cabins were incorrect and it showed that cabin #(smaller cabin) had a fulll size kitchen which it did not. They would not make any concessions and I was left to stay in a small cabin when I booked the larger cabin months before. I thought I would give Kels kove another chance, and I booked again for cabin 3. I fully paid for it. Becky, the co owner called me to say that their Website Platform they used, double booked Cabin 3, she took no accountability but blamed it on the website. She Said I could have cabin 4 again, but as I booked for 3 people, cabin 3 only sleeps 2. I asked her if I had to change, can they put. a sleeper sofa in there. She said she was thinking about doing that anyway and she would accomodate that request due to the Mix up. She then proceeded to call me again and say there is no guarantee that she can put a sleeper sofa in there and Someone in my party can sleep in a Air mattress. Mind you I booked the larger cabin as there would be a party of 3. She said she cancelled my reservation even without me asking for it to be cancelled. The owner Carl called me to say it had been cancelled and they were not going to change it. The owners are very Shady as this has happened twice. I have been going to Kels Kove for the last 5-6 years for family reunions. This year is the first time I spent the whole weekend in one of the cabins. I was in cabin 4 and My bed was rock hard and hurt my body to sleep in it. The toilet area in the bathroom was not made for larger people and was difficult to use the bathroom. Otherwise a great place. My parents had cabin 1, my aunt had cabin 2 and my uncle had cabin 3. Fridges/freezers leaking and causing water to be all over the floor and bottom of fridge. Food ruined over the weekend. Fridges were dirty. Water pressure in some of the showers was terrible. We have enjoyed our stay in the past, but was not completely satisfied this time around. We will be back next summer, none the less. Hopefully they will have fixed some of...

We booked 2 nights and had a gorgeous view . But the cabin had a lot to say about it- Overpriced and undervalue- Every powersocket had an air freshener the place smelled disgusting from all the synthetic smells.

Cabin had mold and not well cleaned - Bathroom had leaky toilet and shower and beds did not give good support or sleep. The futon sofa was broken and couldnt even be upright. There a wifi internet system with many light flashing all night you cant turn off in the kitchen. Would not recommend this place.
