We chose Canine 101 Ranch because of the great reviews and photos of the ranch, and this place DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I would give more than 5-stars if I could, honestly. This was the first time I've boarded my two 2yo dogs - and for a full week too - so the owners knew how I would be dealing with just as much separation anxiety as they were. We did the pick up/drop off service, which made for some stress upon the first day, but the staff knew exactly how to handle them, and then eased them into the rest of the pack over the next 3-4 days. By the end of their stay, my two dogs were running around with the rest of the large dog pack! They send pics/videos daily (upon request) or every other day (depending on how busy the ranch gets) via their What'sApp channel, where you can also chat back-and-forth (so make sure you have that app downloaded).
The sleeping accommodations were in the outside stable with chicken coop wiring and some comfy mesh-lined cots. My dogs' joint kennel was larger than the others and very spacious (they had the two dog kennel). Because I had not toured the grounds beforehand, they were sure to send me a video of kennel accomodations upon request. Since my canine babies are inside dogs, I loved the idea of them being able to be outdoors the entire time - like they were camping the whole week - this really let them be able to live like dogs! From what I could tell, the staff cycles all dogs between their kennels and the grounds many times daily where they can switch off napping and running/playing. Dogs seem to be play grouped based on their size, energy level, and demeanor; which was a very nice touch and showed me how attuned the staff were to their needs/personalities.
The only suggestion I would give is: Consider investing those dog nanny cams, where we can watch them live 24/7. I'm sure this would be quite the project with figuring out the technology, but it's pretty common these days with doggie daycares. I also have a few 4K cams at home that were only $20-30 each on Amazon.
Oh, and we did the $50 dog wash service, in which staff washed them twice, at check-in and check-out - they came home clean and smelling great! Can't wait for my fur babies to visit Canine 101 Ranch again -I may even do a day-long doggie day care every once in a while for their own enjoyment. FYI: The only 1-star review given on here was not very credible - the reviewer did not leave any feedback or pictures - so I would throw that one out altogether, if I were you - just consider this place a 5-star boarding service! Thanks, staff, for treating my pups with love and...
Read moreWe have used Canine Ranch 101 services twice. Our first time was a long boarding (12 days). We received photos and video of our dog outside playing with other dogs. They have fenced in areas to help keep dogs separated if needed, but my very large breed dog loves to play with other dogs. He had his own room with a bed, bowls, and it was in an old, well kept horse stable with fans. It felt cool even in the summer (when we boarded him). Our dog is a working breed that needs exercise and he was able to get a ton of it while staying at Canine Ranch.
His second stay was only a few days and I wasn't sure if I would be able to pick him up in time on the proposed pick up day. They were able to accomadate next day pick up if I couldn't make it. I felt as ease knowing he would be able to stay if needed.
The facility is very well shaded, with lots of large trees and tall fencing that my 110 lb. tall Anatolian Shepard was kept in. I would recommend this place to anyone needing to board their dog, They are friendly, professional and can board all types of dogs. Ours is young and not nuetered, so it was difficult to find a place for him. They also make sure that all boarders are up to date on shots. They have a facility that can easily keep aggressive dogs separate and small dogs and large dogs...
Read moreMy dog is energetic and annoying. I love that I can tell the employees aren't too bothered by my dog (shockingly enough people will work with dogs and be mad when dogs are behaving how dogs do), they embrace her and tell her they love her. That means a lot to me since they don't have cameras (I'm always paranoid of someone mistreating my dog especially since she is annoying). My dog is ALWAYS happy to see her friends at Canine 101 ranch. I also ADORE the location. Secured gate so no one can roam in and dogs can't roam out. They have ACRES of land to play, it's a legit ranch. So keep in mind your dogs will be sleeping outside in a upkept horse barn. I can't wait until they finish the pool. Its pricey, but it's worth it. Sometimes they send pics of pup play (I wish they had a Facebook where they uploaded pics daily). Anywho, I hope you...
