So we just had dinner here tonight, I’m only writing this review because I wish somebody would’ve written it and would’ve spared me the time and money spent.
I wish I could be more positive, I actually feel a little sick from the 2 tacos I had? My boyfriend had 4 of all different kinds and he said the same thing. I know this is Only my opinion, but I feel compelled I have tried a LOT of street tacos in my life. I’m from Mexico and I was raised in Sonora, (So I guess I’m spoiled with the best tacos in Mexico 🇲🇽 Honestly can’t find any better tacos)- I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed. The flavor was not authentic, nor the meat tasted fresh as I expected from all the great reviews.
Guys, the carnitas tasted like smoked bacon meat... instead of being marinated with the proper spices. I was very surprised. The asada was some sort of seasoned meat and cooked on a pan?! I was expecting the smokey grilled flavor... Again, this is only my opinion but I know a little about Mexican food. Tortillas were pretty decent, I’ll give them that. Last thing I wish they had fresh pico salsa and like maybe some freshly chopped cabbage and lime for the asada?? What about guacamole?? Can’t have tacos without all the works ?! :(
Homestead where can I have some...
Read moreThe tacos are made to order fresh. Including the tortillas. There is covered seating which is always filled but a quick turn over makes seating available. My favorite was the cachete and al pastor. Wife loved the tostadas.
My rating was 5 stars 3 years ago and i have decided to lower the rating and edit my comment. Why? I used to eat/order from there at least once a week since it is a short atv ride from my house, in the last couple of months the quality of the meat has degraded consistently. I would say the last 5 times i ordered the meat had allot of fat/meat ratio. It is a shame because, if the public treats your restaurant well, why would you give an inferior product over time. too bad. go to MayaMex off Krome ave where your meals will be consistently good or even better...
Read moreI randomly found this place in a bike ride to Homestead- it was bone packed and that is always a good sign. So I decided to come back.
It is a ways away from Miami (40-45 minutes) but worth it in my opinion. The service is great because the staff is super friendly and very Latino which I appreciated. The food was awesome. The corn tortillas, I believe are made on sight and are excellent. The tacos were really good, I got the carne carne asada and cachete. The meat was flavorful and super tender. We also shared the burrito which was OK. I think the way to finish sticking to the tacos or getting the menudo.
Overall, I really like this place and I highly recommend it. No beer but you can buy at the gas station and bring it. Also, no mobile pay...
