Homestead Sports Complex — Local services in Homestead

I attended the Homestead Seafood Festival held here. I will never go again.

I didn't like the vendor set up-tents randomly placed in the center with a mostly cheap quality selecton of merchandise-very low budget.

There were many food vendors; therefore, I purchased from the one I had experienced, Golden Rule, who also sells at the Deering Estate Seafood Festival. Unfortunately they've downgraded their food and the preparation of it. My entire basket was cold, and the shrimp cocktail that I normally rave about were dried out- money wasted. I will never purchase from Golden Rule again even if they sell at the upcoming Deering Estate Seafood Festival, which I plan to attend.

Also, the music was not diverse, but I'm sure the audience they were catering...

What a great venue to see nascar. You can drive your own speed demons on some weekends. No drag strip though. Next to the rodeo, this may be the only other reason why anyone would go to Homestead for fun. Beware, traffic is a nightmare on main events. Did I mention traffic is a nightmare on main event? Someone really goofed up on the traffic....

For such a large "park" can't wait to see what the future holds.. as of 2025 and since the hurricane Andrew era , nothing more that a parking lot, field that you can't really enjoy since theres no grass, no facilities; on one side and several soccer fields on the other side with minimal tending by Homestead. Let's go MDC and City...
