Get Up and Go Kayaking - The Chaz — Local services in Homosassa Springs

Called before booking because we wanted to paddle with our 2 and 5 year old but weren’t sure how the company would handle it or if we should not do it. They said “no problem we run into this all the time, a guide will paddle with you and the 2 in your boat.” They assured me this was well suited for us and informed me of the need to bring life jackets for my littles as they do not provide them. That was totally fine. We booked and two months later ended up meeting the tour guide at the River who immediately said this isn’t going to work out, I don't paddle with people, you have to go with the 2 year old alone. Told me we cannot put sunscreen on because he didn’t want his boats messed up and that when my kids get a bad sunburn he can apply a paste to ease the pain!!! While I definitely would have had them wear long pants and sleeves had the website mentioned this or in the preparation instructions or had they mentioned when I called, I COULDNT have predicted someone to tell me not to wear or put sunscreen on my kids. With that, we’d like to again thank Dmitry for being such an amazing tour guide and creating a faboulous day on the water! As Dmitry greeted and introduced himself, he laid out the plan for the day on the water. During that exchange he was getting a feeling for what each of us were looking for out on the water today.

Dmitry was very easy to talk with, and we truly enjoyed him sharing stories of his life on the water, which he was able to incorporate durning our kayaking experience! We appreciate his overall guidance and safety getting us in and out the kayak.

His overall knowledge while on the water, his amazing in site regarding the wildlife, layout of the waterways, from the birds, the manatees to everything in between really created an amazing experience.

I had the best time on „The Chaz“ Tour led by Crosby today! First of all the river is absolutely stunning and the tour turned out to be more than just paddeling on a river. Crosby showed us many different Spots, including a tunnel under water that we were able to dive through. We also got to see 3 Manatees even though they are usually not around at this time of the year anymore. Crosby made sure that everyone felt safe (us as well as the Manatees), he was joking around with us, making the Tour even more fun, but also gave us the opportunity to just enjoy the peaceful environment. He definitely knows his way around and was able to answer every single question we had. I would definitely recommend the Tour with Crosby...
