Staff is ok, prices are terrible. I can only justify buying most things if it’s a sale day on something. I don’t know what happened to all the “thrift” stores over the years. This is donated stuff, not an antique booth. Sell the stuff and get money for your organizations. Stop ripping people off. It’s like they have never been to other retail stores. Why would I pay 4$ for an old ratty towel when I can go to Ross and get a new one for 5.99$. Not only that they have another higher price for “bath sheet”, yet not a cheaper price for a small 70s towel that is the size of a hand towel. They will say a towel is a towel but not if it a bath sheet. Lol Even on sale days, let’s say they have a sale on “end tables”, just know, this isn’t for the end table you want, they will say that it is a “side table” or something along those Lines. I wanted to buy a picture when pictures were on sale and they said same thing again, that what I had isn’t a picture it’s “art”. It’s the most insane thing. My husband and I joke when I pick up something on sale, I’ll say watch they will say this isn’t what it actaully is. So if you want to have a fun argument as to what something is, this is the place....
Read morePutting permanent marker to identify clothes that are considered "high value" is just ridiculous. Every other thrift store finds a way to mark boutique items without damaging them. Have yawl ever heard of a chalk marker? The prices are astronomical compared to other thrift stores as well. Electronics that have no warranty or guarantee have prices that are equal to AMAZON prices. Twice now I've heard the employees complaining about customers who question prices. Goodwill at least has a system to ensure fair pricing. Key training has three large thrift stores in the county, that are always packed. They are not hurting for profit. The items are dirty, and often times have damage that is not seen in store but noticed when the item is already purchased. They do not have paper to wrap glasses!! They send customers home with glasses thrown into grocery bags. The biggest problem is the prices in comparison to other thrift stores in this area, employees must not be given any training to be able to price things fairly. I will no longer donate or shop at Key training. Herrys will get my business...
Read more0 stars. We had a very disappointing trip today and we will never go back. We have shopped here before but today ruined it for us. We went in looking for Halloween decor and they had a big display, a lot of things were not marked but we found several things and took them to the counter. They would not sell them to us because they were not marked (why are they in the display?) We asked to speak to the Manager and the person "helping" us said she was the Manager. We offered her a good price (for the things we wanted to buy, that are donated) Not only would she not put a price on the items, she would not sell them to us at all. Very poor Management. Whoever owns this store should really train their staff better. They are selling donated items and the profits are supposed to benefit those that are...
