In October 2019 we purchased/ordered a top of the line leather sofa and loveseat manufactured by "SOUTHERN MOTION". The set was delivered to us in December. We quickly realized there was an issue with the workmanship and contacted Sims. On FEBRUARY 5TH they finally sent someone out from a company called "Fast Furniture Repair". The technician was unable to make a repair, and he said the only way to do it was for the manufacture to replace the leather seating on 3 of the 5 cushions. This, for two pieces of furniture that we paid over $5000.00 for???
The technician said he would contact us when the material came in to make an appt for the repair. Today, a month after his visit, I called to find out the status of our repair, only to be informed by Fast Furniture that the file was closed and there would be no further visits from their technician.
Throughout this entire ordeal, the customer service of Sims has been non existent...the worst experience EVER! Had I not contacted the furniture repair company today myself, there is little doubt in my mind that I would never have heard back again from Sims Furniture Gallery. It seems that once they have your money you are no longer important to them.
Rather than shop at the big box stores like "Rooms To Go" and wind up with furniture made in China, we decided to buy American made furniture locally from Sims. After waiting months now for the resolution of this matter, I called today and asked to speak to Mr. Sims, and was told that he neither accepts calls nor returns them..
As for the manufacturer "Southern Motion", they too have been totally unresponsive during this fiasco. They have about as much interest in resolving this issue as Sims Furniture Gallery.
Do yourself a favor, save the aggravation AND your money and shop somewhere else...YOU HAVE...

After two months of use the top of the mattress foam started buckling and lumping up on the bed. Called customer service they came out used a string line across the bed and said it had less of an 1ā inch in Buckle or lumping. Sims people did not string a line across the buckle in the mattress pad and also informed me that needed the buckle needed to be a 2 inch dip in the mattress before any replacement would be performed. They told me they were going to send the results with photos to the mattress manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement. Come to find out they never sent the photos or the information to the manufacture they just told me three weeks later after I called do find out the status that they would not do anything because the mattress manufacture wouldnāt honor any warranty. Itās funny to me that you purchase a mattress then in less than two months we started having problems with it and Iāve never had problems in the past with any mattresses in my past life of Purchasing mattresses. I just think itās just poor...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePicked out a lovely recliner. Arrived and was beautiful leather, however it was a rocker recliner and we wanted a recliner only. We felt we could compromise and have the rocker recliner, however, when reclining the chair still rocks, and any movement while reclined, makes it unsafe. A repair person was sent out and nothing is wrong with the chair, but is a feature of the design. We were told repeatedly at the point of sale that Sims stood behind their products and provided customer service. The salesperson toted that he was the owner's nephew, however, the nephew nor anyone else has ever called back despite repeated messages left to rectify the unsafe chair or replace the chair with one that is felt safe. Have bought over 10k in furniture in this store over the past 15 years and will no longer provide this store...
