Went for first time today. Got there at 7am opens at 9am was no signs telling us to get a ticket to get in line. But the workers let is in. We normally load our carts then check things out once we are done. We were just trying to see what we got standing off to the side to be of the workers said we had to do it at a bin. We said it’s crowded over at bins just trying to stay out of folks way and no we were not opening boxes . Worker said you check it out at the bin meaning you make your decision once you pick it up. But that’s not how we do it. Been to many bin stores we have a system not to get bad stuff. Then we asked if they had a place to test electric items they said no take to box open stations to check it out so we had about 10 items that we wanted to open to make sure everything was there, well the guy tells us we can only open 1 box per person and that we would have to go back in line to get more opened. We ended up putting most of our stuff back but the few items that we did get are missing parts or do not work. Seems to me they go thru everything and still sell it missing parts. They process a lot of pallets here. Stuff we bought today has been sitting for a while our hands were black from all the dirt son the items sitting for so long. Long story short they do. Or want you to open the boxes. 6 items we bought 4 are missing parts. We will not be back rip...
Read moreI’m not giving one less star for the business…I’m deducting one star for some of the clientele you will most likely will run across here. I love treasure hunting so digging through the bins is a blast for me. I’ve found some really cool things at an awesome price! I’ve also gotten some duds…which I fully expected could happen. That’s on me. The employees have always treated me and my daughter so well and so nicely, they are wonderful! Now let’s talk about some of the customers. Some of the shoppers are incredibly aggressive and scary. I guess they believe getting a deal comes over treating others humans nicely. For example, my daughter and I were new and and we had a low number standing in line. A couple with a number just before ours didn’t like where we were standing in line to get in and we could hear them talking about how “We better NOT think we were getting ahead of them when they open!” I apologized and said we were new and the lady said she was educating us!! Really?! Okay lady, it’s not that serious. Also, a heads up to the business I overheard the same lady inside the building say she went in an office and took items that weren’t on the floor. I LOVE this business but frankly I’m afraid of how some people behave there. :(. For the most part the customers are lovely, the scary ones ruin in for...
Read moreI love thrift shopping and even the occasional dumpster dive, but I didn't enjoy my first visit to The Bin Spot. I didn't know what to expect. When I walked in, I saw a big sign full of typos ("galloon" instead of "gallon", for example) giving a long list of rules that included no fighting and pushing (which didn't sound optimistic). People were already in a long line to check out that completely encircled the perimeter of the entire room, was hard to cross to get to the merchandise, and didn't seem to move at all in the 10 minutes I was there. I didn't see a single thing that I would have waited in that long line for to buy at $6 each. I was there on a Saturday, and the item pricing is based on the day of the week you are there. Saturdays are $6/per item, Sundays are $5/per item, Mondays are $4/per item, and Tuesdays are $3/per item. I believe the higher prices correlate with Saturday being the newest inventory and biggest selection (which was not impressive), and goes down in price as the inventory decreases. They are closed Wednesday thru Friday. You cannot open any boxes in the bins until you get to a special unboxing station at checkout, so your wait for all that time may have been wasted once you see what is in that box. Honestly, I don't see why anyone thinks this place is great. It gave me a...
