I’ve been part of Bluewater Mission for about ten years, and it’s truly transformed my life. I first connected with some amazing, authentic, and quirky people who I later found out all went to the same church — so I invited myself to check it out! From the start, I was struck by the kindness, creativity, and genuine atmosphere. Worship is expressive and Spirit-led, with music, dance, painting, and people ministering to each other — a beautiful mix of faith and freedom that welcomed me in right away.
Bluewater is family- and pet-friendly, with kids, dogs, artists, musicians, families, and people of all walks of life all sharing space. Their ministries are extensive — from kids’ programming and justice outreach to ohana (small) groups, inner healing (sozo), prophetic art and word, leadership training, and more. They’re deeply connected to the local and global community, often partner with YWAM and hold an annual retreat, Christmas concert, and numerous other faith-filled events.
Pastors Jordan and Sonya Seng lead with depth, creativity, and practical wisdom. Messages are always timely, story-rich, and thought-provoking. The church emphasizes hearing from God in real time and living out faith actively. Everyone is encouraged to participate, serve, and grow. I now minister as a prophetic artist and was baptized here six months after arriving. Bluewater has supported and challenged me every step of the way. I’ve found purpose, healing, lifelong friendships, and a way of life that reflects God’s love...
Read moreThis church is for the brave. For those unafraid to try something outside of their comfort zone. If you’re serious about your faith and seek the Lord not out of social performance but for intense intimacy this is the right church for you. I have brought friends, coworkers, my former boss, neighbors, acquaintances, mentors, family, and everything in between. This place is special and has something to offer every person from all walks of life. I have brought believers and unbelievers and each — even those whose beliefs were in opposition to Christian teaching — remain close to me and are grateful for the opportunity to openly and safely discuss some of the world’s biggest questions. This church welcomes all and accommodates all the many different faith, cultural, and social backgrounds present in our community. God provided this church as my true home before I found my own personal dwelling and I am thankful that he did. It is more important to find a family than to find a place to feel truly at home. Check it out! There’s nothing to lose, and it’ll be a great act of faith to try. 😊 also Jordan’s sermons aren’t half bad either. The men’s group is also full of men who seek to incorporate their faith in every aspect of their lives. You will get what you put into it. Couldn’t recommend enough — thank you to the many who make this community special to me. I look forward to becoming more and more involved and the bright future ahead of...
Read moreSoo many amazing things I can say about this church!
The community is SO friendly. Since day 1, I have always felt welcomed! Everyone is light and carries so much warmth within them. I grew up being skeptical of church, but I've felt genuine authenticity here, so I kept coming!!
Pastor Jordan makes his sermons relatable to everyday life. He doesn't make Christianity seem like some mystical religion that you have to conjure up out of thin air. He's made having faith attainable. God is real and alive in this modern world. Pastor Jordan is soo sciencey and shows how God has made His mark in science. (something which helped me since I was one of those people who thought believing in God was impossible) It's also impossible not to pay attention to his sermons, which for someone with a horrible attention span is saying a lot.
Going to Bluewater, I've felt the presence of God. I see people practice the lifestyle that Jesus calls us into.
It's...
