Spa Cahaba — Local services in Hoover

As a young professional, I know how expensive and time-intensive it can be to invest in self care. However, a day at Spa Cahaba proved to be completely invaluable. I was a patient at Cahaba Derm and always loved the atmosphere, professionalism, and quality of their work, so I decided to give Spa Cahaba a try.

Everyone I interacted with was so kind and talented. Cleanliness was obviously a priority, and from the locker room (ie, your own private shower room) to the float pool, the massage table, and to the aesthetician’s room, everything was spotless. Everything was clearly clean, but I even managed to feel like covid wasn’t happening because there was no ever-present smell of cleaning agents and alcohol spray.

I live with osteoarthritis, and the float pool was a game changer. Every now and again, a different joint would start aching in the pool and it was like it was working itself out. The massage therapist was so talented, and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. The aesthetician was also phenomenal and so personable. From the receptionist with whom I interacted to the kind woman who set me up in the relaxation lounge with wine at 10 am (🙌🏻🙌🏻), everyone was lovely. Small details like comfy furniture, good quality hair care products in the shower room, and super comfy robes were just icing on the cake.

So I recommend taking some time to invest in yourself, and indulge in a day at this spa!

I went to the spa as my son had given me a gift certificate when I retired. I chose the salt water float and a hydro facial. An attendant explained the float and procedure. There was a great little pack with ear plugs, shower cap and Vaseline in the event you had any cuts. Bottled water was provided as well as a neck float and damp towels if I remember correctly. I did enjoy the float but thought the water was a little cool. Otherwise it was relaxing and the time went by very quickly. The room where the float was very nice. It had a shower with everything you would need after the float such as shampoo conditioner body wash etc in dispenser. Towels were thick and nice. After I was done with the float, I went to the facial. They provide a blanket if you want one. It is very easy to get comfortable. The facial was amazing. I felt my face was cleaner than it had ever been. As for the Spa itself, all the areas I was in while at the spa were very clean and well equipped with things that may be needed if you shower etc. The waiting lounge area had drinks and snacks that you could get if you wanted something. It was a welcoming atmosphere. Would I go back? Yes I will the next time I want a relaxing day and have extra money to splurge. They do have some packages where you pay a monthly fee for a service. honestly really disappointed with this company. i was really looking forward to treat myself to a mental health day and i heard great things about this place so i reached out to someone about booking an appointment. i didn’t get a text back for a few hours, which i understand i’m sure they were busy, and when someone finally reached back out to me, they told me to call their office (provided me with a #). i called that number not long after the text was sent and a robot confirmed it was this office, and i ended up getting sent to voicemail. weird because i was just talking to someone from their office. i left a voicemail saying what someone from their company instructed me to do, what i was looking for appointment wise, and my name and number. it has been 4 business days, 6 days in total if you count the weekends, which they are open on, and i still have not heard back from anyone. i am not one to leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but i just thought i’d put my experience with this company out here for others to see and if others have had this same experience. overall, i’m just really disappointed because i read such good reviews and heard such good things about this company but i did not get that in my experience. i’m honestly giving 2 stars because the person i texted with was very nice and helpful in the two texts...
