Very unpleasant experience. I called and made a to go order and told the lady on the phone that I was on a diet and could only eat broccoli, cabbage and chicken. I ended up going with the black pepper chicken that doesnt have that much sugar and she was very sweet at taking my order but didn't mention that it would be spicy. It was soo spicy to where it was already burning my stomach with a couple of bites. I have bad heartburn and can't eat spicy. The black pepper chicken I usually get at the Chinese buffets are not spicy at all and do not have half as much pepper. The chicken was not like chicken at all. It was almost a rubbery feeling and seemed like it wasn't cooked well. I took it back in to ask them to remake something better....the husband starts screaming in the back which made me feel uncomfortable right away. I told the wife (which was so sweet) that I apologize but I had no idea it was that spicy and that I couldn't eat food like that due to my stomach problems. She mentioned that she could remake my order and make it with just brown sauce and that it wouldn't be spicy. I asked her not to put too much chicken this time because I didn't like it. I then asked to cook the broccoli and cabbage soft and well done. She took my plate back and not even 5 minutes later she brought it out and it had tons of meat still and the cabbage and broccoli was hard as a rock. I can't eat hard broccoli like that and cabbage. I like my food well cooked. $36 down the drain and im starving still headed back to work.😔 If you get food here make sure you communicate with them well and make sure they cook your food all the way done!

Food was chewy, stringy, and soggy. If I go to the Chinese restaurant at the Galleria, I get crispy, soft, delicious chicken. I will try my best to remember to never come back here. If this had come with broccoli like most General Tao’s chicken does it would have been a little better, but the chicken was disgusting. Tasted like it had big spots of fat in it too, on top of being stringy, hard, soggy, and chewy.

Price on menu for dinner combination says 8.95 was charged $12. Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time and small portions. Don’t understand why they have such a high rating. Drenched in sauce which fills the tray.

My lady brought home take out. The pork-fried rice tasted like nothing. The sesame chicken tasted like nothing with some sugar on it. The eggrolls were ok; or at least the shell was.. if you like deep-fried noodles swimming in grease (who doesn't, right?) The Mongolian Beef. Well I don't like Mongolian Beef, and it was the best thing we got. (Ordered it thinking of beef and broc.) The fried wanton.... Tasted like a dead skunk, days old. I am angry- I feel as though I've been assaulted. I want to call the police but fear I may not be able to speak. I have had horrible Chinese, and since I live in Alabama, I expect it. But this made the...

We moved near Happy China around 7 or 8 years ago and used to order from it for special occassions! They had a change over in management about a year or so ago, but no matter who was working the counter, they always remember my family and I (even over the phone!!) The food is magnificent!! I'm spoiled now and can't seem to eat the same food anywhere else because it just isn't the same!! xD I didnt like dumplings either until I tried them here too!! I crave eating here every time I come back into town now, and just ate here again tonight! :) It really is a nice quiet sit-down place with mouth...
