Would of given a negative star. Dr. Guard in the ER was Very rude. I was very sick and they did nothing to help me or do any tests. The nurse wasn't very nice either. I don't go to the ER for nothing. I do not recommend going there. They gave me a pill for nauseous and sent me home. Very rude and are not there to help when I was very sick. They act like I was a no body. Dr Guard is VERY RUDE AND A HORRIBLE DR. I would love to talk to whoever is above these people. They ran no test and acted like it was no big deal. Do not recommend this place and bill my insurance when they did NOTHING. NO TESTS or labs or nothing and charge my insurance and $100 bucks for a pill I could of gotten at a dollar store. The nurse also broke the HIPPA LAW bc someone else was in the room laying in another bed and what she blurted out about what was going on the other pt heard and it was about my health and a few other things that should of been private and not when another person was right next to me in the same room. It was very personal and it was a lie what she said to me anyways. I will never recommend this place to anyone and will speak my mind about the place and tell them my experience with a very rude dr. Which was Dr Guard plus that nurse that clearly broke HIPPA LAW and how horrible I was treated. Yet they Bill my insurance for lack of any service and rude the dr and nurse and broken laws for HIPPA and someone turned away when was clearly sick. Not very good work ethic and very rude. These people shouldn't be allowed to act and speak to you the way they did me and still have a job. Very bad service and broken HIPPA law and wouldn't take my dog there to be treated if they even allowed dogs. Horrible Horrible service and Guard and his nurse were zero help and didn't care and it was clearly a horrible experience and the higher ups need to hire better workers that care and not treat you...
Read moreThis is a very mixed review. While my Primary was Dr Phil who btw is a very good Dr., I started having problems with my other Doctor's nurse, Dr Nick's nurse, the pain Dr. His nurse, after being told by the Doctor, to prescribe my medications, refused and even mocked the Doctor behind his back, I know this because my wife and I saw her do it. Anyway, after I called in for medications, the nurse, refused to fill the doctors ordered prescription and instead made me come in for an appointment. Obviously, by the time I was able to come in, I no longer needed medications. I was left to suffer in pain for days. So, I told my primary, Dr. Phil about the problem and the fact that this incompetent nurse is a floater and goes all over the hospital. During the time I complained about her, basically all Dr Phil said was "Well, she hasn't had THAT many complaints" Let me tell you what, that was the WRONG ANSWER!!!! If a hospital has a nurse causing more problems than helping, it's time for the nurse to go!!!! When a Dr. says - Well that nurse hasn't had THAT many complaints - that, in and of itself, is a problem!!!! So, while I liked, for the most part, the Doctors, it's the nursing staff and the inability for the HMC board members to take action and keep the patients SAFE!!!!! Therefor I have left HMC and have chosen a new Primary and a new hospital.
So, if you are having problems with getting prescriptions filled and feel it's a nurse causing it, you're probably right!!!! Time to...
Read moreMy first appointment with Dr.Nick was absolutely fantastic. He took time to look over my MRI'S and explain exactly what we were looking at. It became very clear that we also needed an mri of my cervical spine (neck). After the results from that came in I met with Dr.Nick again. Same experience. He was amazing and he took time from his day to explain the diagnosis and the treatment options. We decided that surgical intervention was necessary. Pre-surgical protocol was very thorough. We met with Dr. Isolina (what a sweetheart) and her staff was amazing as well. She even ordered a pulmonary function test that day so I didn't have to drive over again. I had my surgery yesterday at Hopedale Medical Center-hopsital. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by kindness and professionalism. Admitting was fast and pleasant unlike peoria hospitals. I had a private room with private restroom to help maintain privacy before and after the operation. The entire staff made me feel welcome and made sure that I knew what their name was and their role in my care. That carried on even in the operating room. Post-op care was the same way. I never felt rushed to get me out the door. And the nurses were so sweet and helpful. I hope I never need them again but if I do, I'm going back there and driving the hour to get to them. Thank you HMC for all your care, it was appreciated and I appreciate all the extra touches that helped calm my...
