Chickadee Creek saved us during the lockdown phase of the pandemic with order by email and pickup at the farm. Their superb seasonal organic produce keeps us going in our golden years. They stretch seasons with unheated row covers and offer fundamentals like salad greens and radishes year-round. Hands down the best farm in NJ! The CSA program drew me in because it's unique. Instead of getting stuck with whatever the farm gives you, you send them a check, order the veggies you want online, and pick them up at the farmers' market. But that isn't the only benefit—Chickadee Creek also has beautiful produce. The supermarket veggies are atrocious these days. By the time I get home from the store, I swear half of the veggies have rotted just on the drive. I don't have to deal with that when I pick up my produce from this farm though. Amazing quality organic vegetables with an awesome team of farmers behind it! Not even sure what to gush about first but the greens last so long and are so crisp, love love love the broccoli rabe, broccolini and salad mix. The ginger and scallions are out of this world. I freeze a bunch for the winter but they are open year round and make eating healthy and local a real option.
