I sent in 2 emails regarding 2 employees and never received a response. My number as well as email address was listed in the email sent on 4/29 & 4/30/25. I wouldnât recommend speaking with these unprofessional individuals at all. The email sent is as follows:
Dear Corporate or Cemetery Management,
I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the unprofessional and insensitive behavior I experienced while attempting to inquire about my loved ones buried at Golden Gate Cemetery.
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, I contacted your office after my uncle discovered that the cemetery gates were locked with padlocks and a notice of violation from the City of Houston was posted around the time of March 20-23rd, 2025 during operation hours. My intention was simply to gain clarity and ensure that my family, particularly my uncle, would be able to visit the gravesite of my grandparents, his mother and father.
Unfortunately, the responses I received from two of your staff members were not only dismissive but also deeply disrespectful, given the sensitive nature of the matter. Ms. Hessmi Hernandez, who identified herself as the manager, disconnected the call while I was still speakingâafter I had asked for her name several times and attempted to explain the situation calmly. Her accusatory tone, demanding that I âshow proofâ as if I were fabricating the concern, was both inappropriate and hurtful.
Additionally, another staff member named Cynthia (elder lady) repeatedly interrupted me and would not allow me to fully explain the issue. She continued to reference business hours without addressing the core concern: that the cemetery was inaccessible and locked, preventing grieving family members from visiting their loved ones.
This lack of empathy, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct are unacceptable, particularly from individuals in a position of service to grieving families. This experience was deeply frustrating and disheartening. At a time when families are already vulnerable and emotionally affected, it is unacceptable to be treated with such disregard and disrespect. I expect a formal review of this matter and would appreciate being informed of any steps taken to address the conduct of the staff involved. Families deserve respect and compassionâespecially when dealing with matters as personal and emotional as visiting a final resting place.
Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your...
Read moreThe burial site was well- prepared and our loved one was placed among other members of the family with loving care... the only problem was that the first name spelling on the identifying plate that was placed on the cement container, was miss-spelled...we do not know who was responsible for the error, but the paperwork was submitted correctly from the funeral home... the finished product should have been double- checked before placing it on the cement container... the first name should have been spelled as submitted - JENCIE! NOTE: I received a post-phone call from Golden Gate whereby I was told that a tractor had ran over our family member's "grass plate" & cracked it... the caller advised that the same grass-plate design would be replaced, at no charge. At least they acknowledged their error, but I feel that a better method should be devised to commute around the gravesite to avoid such damages...
