Devils Tower Climbing Guides — Local services in Hulett

Karen and I are climbers, now an older couple, and recently climbed and summited Devils Tower with a guide from Devils Tower Climbing Guides. His name is Tiowa and he was excellent. Tiowa contacted us prior to arriving to discuss our goals and establish a relationship. Then when we arrived, we also connected to plan the climbing days and to further get to know each other. Tiowa is genuinely personal and a great listener. We all worked together to set the details of our trip. First his technical and system knowledge was excellent. He made sure to always include time to discuss systems of safety. His superpower though was the ability to connect with our individual emotions to ensure he was present and able to provide supportive comments throughout the climb. It takes a special guide to accurately listen and observe how we were doing so many feet below him and provide comments that were enabling. We had an excellent experience and will work with Tiowa again...

Had a great climbing experience with Greg and Tiowa on the Durance route! My son, his friend, and I are all experienced indoor climbers with limited outdoor sport climbing experience, but had never done multi-pitch or crack climbing. The guides were very knowledgable, experienced, and fun to be around.

They made sure that everything we did was safe, and took the time to teach both safety techniques as well as give advice on the climbs themselves.

Our family of four had THE ABSOLUTE BEST DAY EVER with Curtis today. We had zero climbing experience prior to today, and Curtis made us feel completely calm, comfortable, and confident while climbing. My kids (9 and 11) were thrilled to reach the top of the beginner route on Devils Tower - such a great feeling for all of us! Curtis is definitely a 5 star guide. Someday hopefully we will be back to go...
