READ REVIEWS BEFORE GOING TO THIS STORE, especially this one!! I have been going here for around a decade. It's a hit and miss but I do find some things because I buy a wide variety of items. Today was my very last stop here, ever. I looked back and my receipts for this year alone totaled almost $3000. In some years, I have spent more than that. It is more of a flea market than an antique store now anyway. Most of the stuff belongs to the same dealer who is way too high. Basically they treat everyone like criminals now, even their dealers. Probably why all of the good ones have left. Today, I made the "mistake" of asking if she (the “manager”) could call a dealer and ask them the price of an item that had no tag. I was told "No, because the dealer might lie to them and just say it was theirs" and "You could have switched or removed the tag" (anyone who has been here knows their tags are non-removable). Okay, thanks for calling me and your dealer dishonest. Moving on. So I asked what happens to items with no tags, do they just throw them away since they don't trust anyone and everybody lies. She said that those items go to the lost and found. When a dealer comes in and they see an item in the lost and found, they can take it to the front and look up the dealer's inventory to see if that item is theirs. If that item is theirs, a new price tag will be printed. Great, they have a system to find out the price of an untagged item. Now we’re getting somewhere or so I thought. So I asked, what is the difference between calling the dealer on the phone and having the dealer there physically? Do dealers only lie on the phone? Seemed pretty simple to me but logic and reason (and courtesy) were eluding her today. I was told again they could not do that. Really more likely she was just too lazy to do that. But she had plenty of time to leave the register unattended to gab with other workers. So in a final attempt, I asked if could I leave my name and number and when they finally figure out who the item belonged to and the price would they call me. "NO!" we can't do that either. I have never encountered such an effort to NOT sell an item. I have travelled to antique stores/shows etc. all over the US for the last 40+ years and have never encountered such rudeness toward a good consistent customer. Over this, you have lost me as a customer for life because you just didn't want to take the time to make some effort to try (they were not even busy at the time on a weekday). You are going to make the same effort later on when that dealer claims the item. You just didn’t want to do it for a good customer. Wow, that is really smart business right there. Good for you. Merry Christmas. If you are Dealer number #246 Two Cousins Vintage I would like to buy your Sorghum tin. Maybe you would be so kind as...
Read more( UPDATE! THE GROUCHY OLD GOATS WILL NOT ALOW YOU TO PLACE YOUR PURSE UNDER THE COUNTER AT ALL) The women who work here DO NOT NEED TO BE AROUND PEOPLE! They are the true definition of " Grouchy old women" ! They are SUPER, SUPER RUDE! I used to look forward to going in and walking around looking at EVERYTHING, yes there's soo much to see. This time I felt like everyone had a security guard following them. It felt awkward and somehow wrong. It was like they wanted your money, just NOT YOU! I mean it was before Christmas, for the love of gawd! And to feel so unwelcomed and watched. You wanted to leave! I overheard other customers say they felt awkward about all the plain clothed security guards. They DID CROWD AND MADE YOU VERY, VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! To say the least. Ladies if you're so scared of the possibility of shoplifting and you only want " wristlet purse 👛, small wallets or your ( and I AM QUOTING THOES OLD GOATS!) cash or bank card and WE WANT YOU'RE ID TOO! ( spoke in a belittling manner) I've never been in a store where the owner or the employees are, were so quick to be rude and just "Bi#*@es" to customers and quickly. Yeah I may sound like a "Karen " but if people are honest, I'm NOT THE ONLY ONE! I just read a lot of the reviews and..I'm not the only person who was uncomfortable and felt harassed by the plan clothed fake fat security guards! Hello ,do you not read the reviews on your own store! I hope more people read these before they go and get scammed out of their money! You need to really appreciate the fact that some people are just curious enough to walk in. By the way, if someone DOES get there car broken into, it's on your hands. Your way, WAY TO SCARED to have any kind of store! Go do something else please. I'm never...
Read moreNow I know every place might have thieves, but this one really ticked me off. You have to go thru the truck plaza up the hill to get to it. There is a sign outside stating only wallet & ID, which means nothing to me as I've never been here. Mind you, I walked in, and a lady st the counter stated: you need to use one of our clear purses and return your purse to the car. First, where do I start? My purse was a little on, barely enough for my wallet, phone, and keys. Not a big purse, so i had to use one of their purses and bring mine back to the car. My biggest issue, do they wipe these each time they are used? Next, why don't you have lockers for people if you have a theft issue? Why make customers uncomfortable and then have to go back to their car to put their purse in it? Number one complaint: If you call yourself an antique mall, ensure it's the truth! It's more like an oversized Indoor Flea Market with some antiques scattered about the entire place. Why not make a section just for antiques only, so people don't have to water their time trying to find them. Big disappointment for sure and rude treatment if customers as soon as they walk in, like purse are the problem please! I have 4 cases &a a booth in an Antique Mall, and we have lockets inside for use, but we don't require it. Don't waste your time treasure hunting here. We should have listened to someone who told us it's like a flea market, Bless their heart, they nailed it. Shame on me for not...
