A M Leather — Local services in Huron Charter Township

Me and my husband stopped here yesterday. We were looking at belts and told they are made to fit you. I asked if they were made in America 🇺🇸, I was told they were. The belt I liked was $40. I did see smaller/cheaper ones but I like the longer ones belt buckle better. So I went to take it down and a woman came up to me and said she could not allow me to by that belt. I was could only buy the smaller ones. The belt I wanted was for fat men and I couldn’t by it. So we left. Now someone explain to me why in America 🇺🇸 I can not buy a belt for the $40 the same amount a fat man would pay. Maybe I wanted the extra leather for another use. Which wouldn’t be anyones concern anyways. So they have now lost me and my husband’s business. It’s a real shame because every leather piece in our home is from there. And a lot of other stuff also. They got the one star because it wouldn’t let me write a review with no stars. I am an American 🇺🇸 and will not shop where I am...

Great place for leather work or anything to do with leather. Very friendly staff. The only complaint, I ever hear from anyone and my own personal experiences with this place...is that when it comes to trying on any of the vests. They don't really give you your space. I understand being attentive to the customer. But there reaches a certain point where it almost feels like they do not trust you with the merchandise. Myself and a few others included, have tried to tell the staff we were fine a number of times....and instead of walking away...they take a few steps back and still shadow...honestly if we need assistance we can ask. Because of this reason myself and alot of people I know have stopped shopping here when it comes to "vests".....which is honestly a shame because they've got such a huge diverse quantity of different styles. I am posting my 5 star review to A.M. Leather for my recent experience there. Beth replaced a textile nylon travel bag I purchased late '19 with a 2nd replacement when the carry handle came apart at the stitching. THEN the replacement bag had the exact same problem. After speaking with Beth and Al, they took the time to understand the problem (I couldn't carry in the bag, the normal items I carry there weight-wise). So they went to work on the problem. They designed and stitched a stronger carry handle on, which IMO is a significant improvement to the OEM design, and handle now is very strong and sturdy. My point is, A.M. Leather goes the extra mile to understand the problem, and get to the root cause and fix the problem. I'm very happy with their customer service!! Thanks Beth, Al, and whomever did the...
