Have you ever had such a great experience you just had to share it with everyone? Well, that's why I'm writing this review in regard to my recent used boat purchase from South Shore Marine. Let me say that this was my 5th boat purchase, throughout several years. I am not a novice, I know sincerity and honesty when I see it. This was, however, my first dealing with South Shore Marine. My emailed interest in the boat was promptly returned by Matt, who was the dynamic Salesman that worked with me throughout the entire process. Professional, knowledgeable, kind, respectful, honest and sincere, Matt answered everyone of my questions in detail. I made an appointment to come in to look at the boat and go for a sea test. Upon arriving at South Shore Marine, I walked in to see a group of employees having a discussion around a table. They looked up at me and said, "you must be Brenda"... Wow, talk about Cheers... where everybody knows your name... That simple statement made me realize that this was a company and a team that works together for the good of the customer. Immediately I felt welcomed and comfortable. Matt introduced himself and we went to look over the boat. I never felt pressured or pushed to make any decisions. I never felt like my questions were not important to Matt. He answered clearly and kindly, at times giving me added information of which I was not aware. When I went for the sea test, Matt was, once again, helpful and informative. Upon returning to South Shore Marine, I had made the decision to take the next step toward purchasing the boat. Matt and I sat in his office to go over things and I was introduced to Dan, the Sales Manager who was equally as kind and respectful, honest and sincere as Matt. After getting numbers in place with Matt and Dan, I was introduced to Grant, the Business Manager. He walked me through, in detail, the finances of the purchase, answered every question clearly and honestly. I felt respected and comfortable. Grant's knowledge of the ins and outs of the finance process was reassuring. Before I left, I was approached by Tom, the General Manager. Tom thanked me for my business and, as everyone else, encouraged me to reach out if I had any further questions. He was kind, professional and genuine. I have not had the opportunity to personally meet the service dept team. But I know without a doubt, they too, hold the high standards characteristic of the team that helped me through this process. In addition to the many qualities of the team who represented South Shore Marine, I appreciated the sense of humor. It was not only a pleasant experience, but a fun...
Read moreLyn and I received a great reception at South Shore Marine after deciding to purchase a used Pursuit DC 265 just traded in by a loyal customer. Mike Pasadyn worked diligently and faithfully with our questions and interest in this boat leading to our decision that this was a great opportunity to purchase a well cared for one owner example. The boat was sold and serviced by South Shore and we gained confidence through Mike's thorough presentation that we should not pass up this opportunity. Upon arriving we were greeted with a closed circuit display welcoming us followed soon by a personal greeting by Mike and owner, Tom Mack. This dealership exudes taste and excellence throughout and the employees went out of their way to do everything they can to make our purchase experience very special. All employees were extremely helpful and I mention just a few : Mike, Norm, Shane, Bryan, Ted, and Sara for their role in making everything about our purchase go well. They made sure our winter road driving window was met for tow of our boat and very well matched trailer back to Pennsylvania. Being hands on the very capable tech who applied a transport shrink wrap was deeply appreciated as he provided great advice on how to deal with the wrap for winter storage. Also noted how the owner, Tom, checked in several times to make sure all was going well. While I have yet to get this boat in the water and get to know it well, I have great confidence from Shane's sea trial that I am going to be thrilled with piloting this boat on the Maine coast. Thanks to all of you in every way for a great...
Read moreSouth Shore Marine’s values of honest guidance, excellent service, and building trust, made our recent boat buying experience a success. It is refreshing to do business with such great people who take the time to meet and exceed their customer’s needs. Our experience was enjoyable from our first visit to the day we took delivery of our new Grady White boat!
Mike Pasadyn, is extremely knowledgeable about Grady White Boats. He walked us through the details and design of the boat we chose and offered a lot of great suggestions about customizations we planned on doing in the future. He was always quick to respond to our phone calls and text messages, and answered every question we had. Mike…thanks for your time, patience, great suggestions, and overall assistance start to finish!
Ted Melching worked the numbers until he got it right! We appreciated his tolerance in negotiating a number that fit within our budget. Ted…thanks for your efforts in making a deal we were comfortable to accept.
Sara Hendrickson guided us through all the paperwork. Sara…thanks for your patience and understanding as we know an out-of-state sale can be rather perplexing.
Shane Simon took us for our first ride during boat orientation, another great service from South Shore. Shane showed us the ins and outs of boat operation on the water. Shane…thanks for showing us the ropes!
