I came into store #10332 located 2625 Dr.Martin Luther King Jr street indianapolis, Indiana 46208 around 10am ready to make a purchase of over $60, just hoping to find the matching pink top sweater to a extremely cute and affordable line of 'Just Be' fall set. Family Dollar has been selling this fall set for a little over a month to my knowledge. I previously purchased bottoms weeks prior which I was wearing a pink pair. This store has been a staple in the community for years. Once I arrived in the store.I found that this store had several selections. I sat my purse down on a near by box and tried on the sweater to insure that it would fit . As I was making my way to the Cash register with my selected items the manager or team lead MYA stopped me and began demanding that I put the pants that I was wearing and came into the store wearing BACK up on their shelves. I then attempted to explain to MYA that I only came into the store to find a matching sweater to the pants I was already wearing. She told me that “she did not care, she can check the camera and that her cashier seen me.” The cashier whom we all looked over at stood silently , until she began attending to an approaching customer. Upon me repeating that I am not a theft MYA then exercised her authority by stating “ I didn't say you were stealing I just asked a question, now you can leave or I will call the police”. I was totally taken back as the cashier, a customer and an additional Family Dollar worker chimed in " No don't call the police on her that is unecessary" which is was honestly and unwarranted and unfitting for the situation. I stated that the way she was interacting with me was distasteful as a manager she could have discreetly went to the back and checked her cameras instead of engaging with me as a customer in an ergerious manner. As a black community this was a very poor and egregious interaction to have with a member of the community with absolutely no probable cause or proof of any attempted thievery. I asked MYA if she could go check her cameras as proof that I came into the store wearing the matching pants. She stated " I will" but never moved from her spot. While several customers shook their heads in disagreement and dismay. I asked MYA if “I could please shop in peace because the way she was interacting with me was humiliating and uncalled for as she simply could have walked to the back office and looked at her cameras. I have been coming to the Family Dollar for years.” I could still hear MYA continuing to engage customers about the situation. I asked her could "I make my purchased in peace or do she want me to leave?" She stated she wanted me to leave. Humiliated I sat the items down and looked back at MYA who put her head down and began smiling. I couldn't believe this 'really happen' I thought as I walked out the door. Upon reaching the parking lot, one of the elderly customer that was previously in the store to witness the situation was heard telling another person in the parking lot what just happend. Humiliating smh. Ultimately I am a shopper so I went to a different Family Dollar and was treated with respect and dignity. I also was able to find 1 sweater finally :-/ that was my size. I needed a 1X or a M. It has been so hard finding matches to this Fall set. MYA deserves to have coaching on interpersonal skills as well as soft skills if she is going to be leading the face of the company. I expect that the next time myself or my company enters into this facility that we are treated with the utmost respect especially being that we are humbly coming to shop (spend hard earned money) in a store that is violating Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards on a daily basis. I specialize in being an Advocate so I am definitely gonna make sure I am doing just that. Please treat us better as a staple in this community. WE all WE got. Everybody ain't thieves, some of us really come to...

She interrupted the middle of the sale and told her to go to lunch. Rude! Tiffany said she was in the middle of trying to ring me up and help me with my app. But the manager overrode her and told her again to go to lunch. Manager took me to another register and put me in front of the customers in her line and told them that she didnt know what Tiffany was doing...like the wait was...

Asked another lady who was an employee ( the assistant manager or manager with her hair always looking a hot mess) a question and she looked as though we were just in her way. She has a very bad ATTITUDE!!!!! My God these people who work in these stores are just some horrid people and they have horrible attitudes from the get go and then go get jobs in customer service. They NEED to keep people like that in the back of the store or DON'T hire them...
