This. Place was by far my favorite place that I've ever visited. The paths were well kept, the park itself was well kept, and it was enough foliage to block out the surrounding city. The bridges and stone buildings were pretty amazing as well(basically ruins). Never expected to see a waterfall in Indiana, let alone inside Indianapolis. I had a wonderful time going off trail and along the creek. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. I'm going back to see the spring decor this year when everything grows back.

Very interesting site. I enjoyed how they have signs explaining the ecosystem and landscape all the way on the trail. It's kids friendly. They also have a covered outdoor classroom if you need to take a break. The site was well kept. However coming by car the access of the trail wasn't well indicated. The direct access gate indicated by the GPS was closed we had to go park on the Marian university parking lot and access the trail by the stairs.

Most likely you will need to park at the marian university mansion near the colonnade . There are 2 stairways to the trail, one near the colonnade, and one behind the mansion. Main trail is gravel, but there are lots of side trails. Be sure to go to the other side of the football field and wander on the many trails over there to see the abandoned buildings, or drive up the next road to get to the waterfall bridge.
